Food was standard for McD. Used the app which I find really good unless you need a refund. (bad experience with that). Remodel since my last visit to this location. This location was always especially friendly and even had a lady refilling coffees, etc during breakfast. This remodel as all recent location renovations has done a good job of depersonalizing and isolating the customer from employees. Small window area now with 2 registers and 2 kiosks out front. No one paying attention to front window and had to lean around obstruction and call to help chatting in the back for couple of creams to go with coffee in app breakfast order. All the charm has evaporated! I'm actually a lover of technology, but this is one more step toward a socially sterile fast food experience. read more

This is franchise location is in my hometown. For years, I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but I refuse to waste my money here ever again. The food is always subpar and the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There are a few employees who go above and beyond but the majority of them act like you are inconveniencing them by being there. Almost every trip has resulted in an incorrect and incomplete order. Once, there wasn't even a burger patty on my husband's quarter pounder with cheese. It was just ketchup, onion, pickles, and cheese on the bun. The fries are rarely ever hot and usually taste like they have been cooked in old oil. It's just not worth the time, effort, or money to eat here. read more

The McDonald's in Port Saint Joe, Florida is the worst in the country. The drive-thru lines are the worst. In the morning hours, they have two lines open but only one of the lines is taking orders. This past Saturday I was an opened line that was not taking orders. I drove up to and locked on the window to get service. When the young lady appeared, I told her that the intercom was not working she said yes and laughed. I was able to place an order at the window, but I should not have to do so! The drive-thru at night is the worst. Around 8:30 or so they turn off the lights to the drive-thru to give the impression they're closed. read more

I used to love eating here, now I only do so when it's my only option. I pay for a LARGE meal, and they don't even fill up the large container for fries. They fill it up half way, might as well have a medium size. The fries are cold and soggy. And my sandwiches are always sloppily made. Sauce dripping out the side of the sandwich, and if I ask for light sauce they put barley a drip on the sandwich. This McDonald's has gone down hill. read more

Ah, the Golden Arches. Those Happy Meals of our childhood. That time Ronald McDonald scared me at a live appearance...oh, sorry, got off track for a moment... The McDonald's in Blountstown has been one of go to road trip stops on Highway 20 for many years. The most recent remodel has really made the place quite lovely. There is less traditional seating and more options for "place making" -- including a lounge area with sofas, a bar area with stools, and areas that invite people to set up a laptop and stay a while. In a small town like Blountstown, a place like McDonald's may often serve as one of the town's "third spaces" -- such informal public gathering spaces help to create the local feel of the town. With the addition of upgraded coffee choices, it seems that McDonald's has made an effort to compete with globally recognized third spaces like Starbucks. This particular small town McDonald's is doing its part. A few days before Christmas, there was a three piece band playing on the restaurant patio. All the external charm aside, the food is prepared quickly. That said, the food quality could be more consistent. They may be trying to move too quickly - my chicken had a bit too much grease left on the filet when they stuck it between the bun slices. The southern chicken sandwich is a reasonable representation of a fried chicken sandwich when care is given to its preparation. read more

The ability to get a correct order and deliver in a timely manner is sooooo beyond this location. You might as well just go to Burger King.

I was not impressed. I ordered the "new" crispy chicken deluxe. It definitely not a deluxe. It was missing the tomato and very sloppy. The Mayo wasn't on the bun. It was on a part of the chicken hanging off the bun. It came with fries that were cold. How can a customer be served cold fries during lunch rush. I waited in the drive thru line almost 10 minutes. This is a town with limited options so it will suffice for a quick meal. However, the cashiers are incompetent and could not figure out how to change one small detail of a combo order. I ordered a hot fudge sundae as well and when I asked why the fudge was not hot, she said that was the best they could do. They are also rude and not very helpful.
