This is how a quick serve restaurant gets 5 stars. Clean establishment, my $5 McDouble, 4 nuggets, small fries, and small drink meal came out without an issue. What a great offer btw. How much can one expect from a McDub? The fries were hot and lightly salted, nuggets were crispy, and all drinks were available. Ice cold coke on a hot day and the air condition was set at the right temp. One negative is they ran out of toilet seat covers but I stand anyways. read more

Well it is challenging to get great food at McDonald's at best. The whole idea is consistently from location to location. I order two things. Quarter Pounder Deluxe and small fries. It was confirmed on the board. The bag is handed to you and you whisk away. Well is was a Quarter Pounder with cheese and not deluxe and the fries had two long black hairs in the package. One of the many things I didn't like about this particular McDonald's was that their fries were cold and hard. My kids were very unhappy. Next my QPC was saturated with oil and looked like they just threw it around. But the one thing that took it over the top which led me to write this was they double charged me. So I went in and talked to, who I think was the manager and showed her my bank statement which had 2 of the same transaction but she refused to hear me out. She insisted that there was only 1 charge. We received our bag & quickly looked inside, checked the "fries," they seemed decent. Once we arrived home, I opened up the filet-o-fish container; to my surprise, the bun was ROCK hard!!! The extra tartar sauce I asked for was nonexistent, but just about the size of a quarter & barely any cheese -- the filet was lukewarm. I IMMEDIATELY THREW IT & the fries in the garbage!! The food here is fine and the restaurant itself is pretty clean and nice, but there needs to be some better staffing. On more than one occasion, I've had a bad experience with a certain employee with dreadlocks. The first time, he brought my order to the counter, didn't say a number or anything, and then got sour with me when I didn't know to pick up my food. The second time was in the drive-thru. I went to this McDonald's about 3 weeks ago and when I got back home near Costco I opened the bag only to find out they forgot my 20pc Chicken nuggets i ordered. I called and spoke with Maria and told her that they forgot my 20pc nuggets and she apologized and said to come back and they would give me the 20pc nuggets. For the past year, I have had an on-again, off-again relationship with the Chicken McNugget. Definitely on- more than off-, as I haven't consumed this many since high school, when I could polish off a 20-piece all by my lonesome as an after-school snack. Oh for the big brown box full of delicious trans-fat clamoring to clog up my vessels and put me in an early grave. Ah, the wonders of adolescence (although I did have the baby fat back then). Fast forward (hahaha) years, the 20-piece now comes in two boxes of 10 (when did the 9-piece become a 10-piece???), and there are at least twice as many sauce options as there were before. I now split the 20-piece with my roommate, and as for the sauce, I have transitioned from sweet-n-sour or plain barbecue to the sophisticated, mature, [barbecue + hot mustard] combo. (There is now a chipotle barbecue, which is a simpler way to a more mature taste, but I don't happen to care for it. *sniff*) I absolutely look forward to going back, as the cravings are starting to kick in again...but the ol' conscience has reared its head. Last time we went, we took some home, and on the freeway we got behind.......a chicken truck. Chickens crammed into spaces barely big enough to hold them, feathers flying all over the place; and I'm sure the poor things were really really cold. And we see all this while I have a bag full of McNuggets at my feet. :-/ Sigh.
