This McDonald's has kiosks--I want to note this right now. The great thing? Leads to faster service. The bad thing? It doesn't accept cash, which leads to infinitely slower service. That said, and after being on the road for countless hours at that point, I actually expected it and didn't mind. This McDonald's was busy with the drive-thru that is on the left hand side of the Love's Travel Stop. The staff was so nice and even had jokes to spare despite the inflow of travelers. They were all smiles and professionals, which really made the difference for me after so much time on the road. I really appreciated that. If you order a drink, they will hand it to you instead of you going to the soda fountains, but make sure you request it. I personally prefer them handing me the clean cup. Also, straws and napkins are in sealed plastic. The restaurant itself wasn't as clean as it could have been. The tables needed a good wipe down. Otherwise, there wasn't any real debris left out. The food was also kind of rubbery, but I'll be honest and say I didn't care much about taste so much as sustenance at that point. I just needed to eat while I looked forward to another eight hours on the road. So if you're looking for something fast, this is perfect. If you have super high standards, I would normally say go for something else, but in this mindset, I think if you're traveling, get over your high standards and just grab the food. Just went and picked up my online order through curbside. I ordered two mc double with only cheese and mayo. I got home and they had Big Mac sauce and onions, was not able to eat them cause I am allergic to onion. read more

I do not recommend going to this McDonald's . Me and my family were hungry and this was the first place we saw . When we went inside we were the only ones there . We were waiting for about 15 minutes for our food and more people came in and they ordered and got there food before us even though we were waiting . When we got our food after a long wait they gave us no sauce like we asked for and they didn't give us our drink cups . Besides that they put wrong stuff on the PLAIN burgers we asked for . Then we asked to talk to the manager and the lady was very rude and disrespectful. The rest of the time we enjoyed our food . This is a truck stop McDonald's on the way west on I-10 out of El Paso. I stopped for gas and decided to go in for a quick snack. Only one guy was working and he actually rolled his eyes at me when I walked in! I think because I stepped on his freshly mopped floors but there was really no path around it. The dispensers didn't have napkins or straws in them, it seems that they may have been hoarding them at the counter. Anyway, not the best impression. Food was as expected. read more

The worst example of McDonald's food I've ever had. Having worked for McDonald's corporate office in oak brook Illinois, I've been all over checking quality. This was an old dry bun and overcooked burger. Missing the bacon I paid for and waited on by someone who WILL be fired from this job is a monumental waste of my money. Par for the course, if you read all the other reviews. Stopped at this location on the way back from CA, mid afternoon, over a holiday weekend and it was more of the same. No other cars in drive thru when we pulled up, placed our order, pulled to the window, and was handed 2 large drinks. One completely full, the other only 3/4 full. I asked the girl if she could fill the second one up and her response was "No I can't, that's how the machine does it". Excuse me???? You just handed me one completely full so clearly that's NOT how the machine does it. Every machine has an option to top it off. Lies. Then we were asked to PARK for a basic cheeseburger meal and DBL quarter meal. There's no reason we should've been parked for basic menu items, especially with no other cars behind us. This habit of "Parking" cars has gotten WAY out of hand. That use to be reserved for large orders so they wouldn't hold up the line. Now they do it when they don't have their sh!t together, just to still make their DT times look good. Total BS. After being parked for 15 MINUTES, I went inside and filled the cup at the self serve soda machine. There were 3 other people inside waiting for food as well. Dining room was empty. All staff hiding behind a wall around the corner you can't even see unless you step behind the counter. Worse setup ever. 2 managers and 5 crew members standing there doing NOTHING!! Just staring at grill cooks. These managers should be FIRED! I finally stepped around the wall and asked what the problem was. There's nothing in that store that takes longer than 3 1/2 minutes to cook, so 15 minute park times are unacceptable. Neither manager said anything, no response, just looked at me and looked back to grill. Magically my food appeared shortly after that and the other customers smiled and applauded me, some waiting as long as I had been waiting. This is not acceptable. The owners should be ashamed. Not surprised but the ice cream machine wasn't working, but no chicken tenders. I ordered 10pc chicken nuggets and a mocha, waited 20 min and still didn't call my number they went from 171 to 173 ( my no. was 172) so I went up to the counter and supposedly they called my number but I never got my nuggets. Horrible service. There was only one guy working. And he was being super slow. And when more workers arrived they became rude. They made a mistake on my order and were very rude.
