Not much population out here and as a "typical Easterner" I think that there's always a gas station on the next corner. Here's a clue: THERE ISN'T. The next fuel station in one way is 70 miles and 34 miles in the other. Yeah, that's a long way to go. Rome Station saved me an embarrassing situation and the fuel pump area is apparently open 24 hours. Hooray because when I rolled in at 8:15 pm, there was no one around and the restaurant was closed. My credit card was accepted and I put $50 in there. It's not the cheapest gas but it's sure cheaper than California and not as cheap as Idaho. So yeah, make sure you have enough gas when you pass through here because you're going to find no cellular signal in some places and that's not good.
