If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We stopped to grab coffee and some cookies and were treated horribly. The lady in the front looked at my mom and shook her head! My mom was just speaking to me about some cookies (in spanish) - which was probably the reason she shook her head... I felt highly discriminated. Only stopped to grab coffee because we were falling asleep. Avoid at all cost if you can. Wait for a better known place in the city if you're driving by because they won't make you feel welcome. P.S: the coffee tasted horribly. It's just hot water that looks dark. Probably brewed once daily. read more

I love small country markets, and this place is my go-to spot whenever I need to go shopping when in McDermott, NV. The Elk head on the wall is my favorite! We usually stop to get a soda or a snack, and visit the restroom. It's a fine spot to grab things for your road trip, but be aware, they have a $4 minimum for debit/credit card purchases (which is understandable). read more

Great place great people, I always stop here when I drive from Idaho to California for gas and a bathroom break and of course some munchies.

Pretty much any thing you could possibly need. From bacon to a lawn mower. And I was surprised the prices weren't that high. Considering the nearest real grocery store is 70+mi. away! I didn't get anything from the meat counter. I guess the owner makes the sausages himself. read more

There's not much on the road between Winnemucca and Boise but there is the Ideal Market. If you get there by mid-afternoon, try the broasted chicken. It's perfectly seasoned with crispy skin and if you get it early in the day, it is nice and moist inside. I've told by my travel companion that the milk shakes are very thick and creamy The bathrooms are clean, important when you are spending most of your day in the car. Our current road ritual is to buy a few pieces of broasted chicken, a milk shake and a few drinks and head to a nearby rest area for a picnic. read more

Okay so it seems a little odd, but try the fried pork chops, you can find them under the warmer with the chicken and chorizo. They are literally the best gas station food on earth. Lightly breaded, fried & seasoned to perfection. The people here are genuine and friendly plus they carry a large selection of groceries, pet food and candy. I'm mistified by their attitude. I stopped & found they had some good pork chops in the deli case. The next time I stopped, they didn't have any and seemed happy to cook some. I stopped several more times & started to get a 'not you again' attitude. The last 3 times I've stopped, no chops & got a go to hell attitude. Yesterday, it was, "We've sold enough today." And, it was only 3:00. A loyal return customer is a bad thing to them and, when I don't get to eat there, it's a long way to get food. If it weren't for the fact that I had 4 kids and 2 women in a minivan I would not have stopped here. The restrooms were a disgusting filth hole and are located in a "food prep area" The staff seemed out of it. I was not impressed in the least.
