We stopped here for gas before entering the wastelands of southeastern Oregon on our way to Boise. The gas prices were way cheaper than California and the staff were very friendly. The store has a great selection of foods and drinks and it's open 24hrs. The fenced dog park adjacent to the store was a nice touch and our road weary shitzus loved it. Stopped by while we were were on our way from Oregon to Vegas. Sigh, I wanted to a wing fried chicken but apparently they have tenders and pre packed wings with sauce. The sauce was meh that I ate one chicken and therew the rest away. Service was ok. The positive- the biscuit was good. read more

Blink and you may miss McDermitt and The Golden Gate Gas and convenience store. Heading from NV, if you cross into Oregon you went too far. It is a great stopping place to use the restroom, grab snacks and drinks. When entering you are welcomed in which is nice. A smaller store than in other cities but this is a small town. Check expiration dates on ítems as we purchased an expires product among our items. Scratch Dig-in-Chicken is their claim to fame. I didn't try it but it smelled good. I lost my phone at this station and didn't realize it until the next morning. Thankfully, I was able to call the store and use my "find my iphone" app--TO MY SHOCK, Richard, who was working the front counter looked THROUGH THE TRASH and got my phone. THEN, he offered to send it to me and refused pay when I asked him if I could pay him for his trouble. This was above and beyond and has saved me time, effort, and money.
