Please understand that I don't know much about other similar providers, but I will share my thoughts about the care provided for my two children over the years. When we needed braces for our son, the name we were given was Dr. Kemp. He is the definition of local legend, and he's earned those accolades the hard way: He created a superior practice and provides amazing care for patients and family alike. Dr. Hall is the other heavy hitter in the office. Impressive in all ways, working with skill and compassion. If you're like me, environment plays a huge role in experience. Their office is spotless, smartly decorated, and inviting. More importantly, the office staff provides exceptional customer care. You lnow you're in good hands with this team, which speaks to the quality and thought given to hiring practices. Finally, and most importantly, I can boil down my experiences here to one word: Trust. I whole-heartedly entrust my children's care in this field to Arlington Orthodontics and Dentistry. Whether you call them 4 times to reschedule or walk in they always greet you the same, with kindness and with warmth. Nicole is one of my favorites at the front desk. He explained thoroughly our options and what we could do for my daughter's braces. He did scans and we decided to wait for the 2 upper teeth to fall out. But now Dr. Kaplin is saying we need to extract all 4 bottom baby teeth, 2 upper baby teeth and 2 upper adult teeth all at once! Then he can start the braces for my daughter. When we mentioned that that was not what we discussed previously, his tone changed and started becoming rude and snappy and seemed annoyed by us. "I don't think we are on the same page here. I'm hearing a lot about baby teeth but I'm not concerned about that"

My teeth had moved and I had to seek treatment with the new practice. Timing and service went as well as could be expected during Covid restrictions. However, as I had my final visit I questioned the slight overbite that resulted, which I'd not had before. The response I got from Dr Nakfoor was cocky and condescending, asking if I'd rather have had the gap in my teeth. An honest practitioner would have approached me differently from the start, knowing that an adult could handle an explanation that favored the lesser of the two evils. At least I'd have been prepared for the eventual outcome. Word to the wise, seek a well-recommended small practice to use and not one based on an overinflated ego.

Dr. Tom Meyer has been my dentist for many many years and his father before that. This is the…read moredental practice where you can go in, get your teeth cleaned or a cavity filled and actually fall asleep in the dental chair. I know because I've done it. They are that gentle. Dr. Tom seems to have the latest dental technology that can really help catch cavities early. He has a new x-ray machine that makes x-rays a lot more comfortable than those old bite wings. Another technology he has used that really benefited me was the ability to avoid using a crown in certain situations. A few years ago, I had a cavity in a tooth right next to where I previously had a silver filling from long ago. He really needed to drill a lot to get the filling out and to repair that new cavity. This is the type of thing that normally he would need to use a crown. However Dr. Tom explained to me that he had a machine where he could essentially make a 3d puzzle piece for the hole and put it in if I had a little extra time. We could do it in one visit instead of two and it was actually less expensive than a traditional crown. I agreed and have had no issues with his solution. I went in yesterday for a cavity repair and received exactly the same treatment as in the past. I didn't even feel the needle with the numbing medicine. They use a topical to make you comfortable. The staff also make sure to tell you what to expect before they do it. Everyone is friendly and genuinely interested in you and your dental health. They are located near Wolf Circle and very close to a bus and train station. There is ample street and lot parking near the office.

Dr. Busch and his entire staff were the most cheerful (without being fake) of any medical office (or any other sort of office) I know. Facilities were modern, pleasant, and had a pleasant place to wait for parents. Working out appointments which fit neatly in our family's crazy schedule was painless. When I went for my last appointment. I payed around 400 for permanent retainers. They told me no Need for my upper retainer. My teeth are back to gaps. I don't recommend at all. 5000+ down the drain. Each step was explained thoroughly, with plenty of time for questions. Dr DeGroot followed up with me after each procedure, and made sure I was healing with no complications. They expect children to be pulled out of class for routine appointments. They're only open every other Saturday, and those slots fill so fast they're basically unusable. The practice is completely unaccommodating and has an arrogant attitude about it. To make matters worse, both of my kids were told they'd have braces for about a year, and in both cases treatment lasted nearly twice as long. Either they're very bad at estimating timelines or they're not being honest up front--neither is acceptable. It also feels like unnecessary adjustments are made just to undo them at the next visit. My dentist was surprised by how uneven my daughter's teeth still are. Overall, this place feels difficult, poorly managed, and questionable. Not recommended.
