This office staff is uneducated and unable to work properly with patients dealing with mental health issues. The staff called me and told me that they were switching my meds without my approval and then instructed me to take an extended release pill 3 TIMES a day!!!!! Then I was told the doctor would call me. Instead someone from "downstairs" called me and told me that she'd hang up on me because I was upset... to which she did. They are ridiculous here. I have to call multiple times a month to reschedule their cancelled appointments, get refills on all of my meds (even the ones that are meant to be taken everyday non stop), to dispute charges, and to force them to run my insurance. They were going to charge me out of pocket when I have insurance because they couldn't figure out how to bill the visit. This went on for months!! Terrible place. The doctor is smart and seems to know what she's talking about but she lost all respect from me when she changed my meds without my approval or even knowledge and refused to call me to discuss. Even an on call employee told me to get away from this place!!! Please don't use this facility!!!!! read more

I was extremely with the entire intake process with this office. What follows is a litany of complaints. 1. It is not possible to make an appointment with this office without filling out an extensive new patient intake form. 2. It is not possible to fill out this application online. The 10-12 pages of forms must be printed out, brought to the office or mailed. 3. When pressed the office will allow you to email to a gmail account. 4. Gmail is an unsecured email site and this is in violation of HIPPA protocol. 5. The overwhelming self satisfaction and pride of Dr. McCormack is obvious by the heading of his intake. On the form in bold lettering is the announcement that this intake form was developed by him, as though it is an innovative concept. 6. The form makes it apparent that this association is more interested in defining you as a person through selecting little boxes than it is by spending time talking to you. 7. The questions about religion are presumptive, there are listed a variety of Christian denominations, but no differentiation of other religions. It assumes that all persons of a designation are of the same beliefs. If you are not in those boxes, you are only given a choice of other, which would lump, atheists, agnostics, and personal spiritual beliefs in one category. 8. In spite of my accompanying my application with a letter asking for a phone call to make an appointment this office did not contact me. More than 10 days later I contacted them and was told that they could not accept my application because of notations I had made on the forms referring previously identical information. Such as name, address etc. No contact was made by this office to tell me that a decision had been made to reject my application. Because of this whole intake process, which led me to believe that this clinic did not value people as much as they valued bureaucracy and little boxes, I decided not to pursue any association with them. read more

I have tried to call your office repeatedly without an answer. I have left messages and haven't gotten a response. I took the time to check your website & got information from our insurance company that your practice is on our approved providers list, so I filled out the new patient paperwork and went by the office to set up an appointment for my son -- only to be turned away that you do NOT take our coverage. I know that it is not your fault that there is incorrect information, but it is extremely frustrating when you are already dealing with a serious emotional/mental health issue. This is not the first time this has happened; my adult daughter has tried to get an appointment with one of your colleagues & she even has better insurance, yet we got no response that time either after leaving multiple messages during & after business hours. read more

Okay, I want to preface this by saying I've had no problems with Dr. McCormack himself, at least DURING my appointments. The problem is that it's like everything we talk about in session goes right out the window as soon as I walk out. For instance, him telling me my next appointment will be shorter and cheaper since I'm uninsured? I show up and they tell me it'll be full price - and then watch as I nearly break down into tears in front of the waiting room (because they decide it'll be best to discuss my financial situation in front of all other patients), refuse to so much as ask him if he had documented our conversation anywhere as I couldn't afford the full fee (which, like I said, we had talked about previously), and then when I asked if I could just reschedule for a shorter appointment, telling me I'd have to pay the $95ish cancellation fee. For a mistake that wasn't my fault, mind you. Then, him telling me he'll be happy to increase the dosage on my depression med when I'm ready since I wanted to try on the smaller dose for awhile longer - and saying to call if I wanted to do so because an immediate appointment wouldn't be necessary for that since we'd talked about it. Well, I have been trying to get in touch with someone for 2+ weeks about this. What a joke, It's nearly impossible to speak with an actual person from his office and when you do they're extremely unhelpful. I just had to fill a 30 day prescription of my current dose after 5 unsuccessful attempts over 2 weeks to have someone authorize the increase that HE ALREADY TOLD ME HE WOULD DO. Half of those attempts haven't received so much as a call back. Like I said, he's great while you're in the room. But once you walk out, you better hope you have everything you need until the next time because unless you're handing over a few hundred bucks to see him in person, you're not getting anything. read more

My son saw Dr. McCormack for two years and I thought things were better and I would asked the Dr. how things were going between he and my son and he said that communication was good between both of them. Then my son fluked out of his first year of college and my ex and I got a divorce. It was six months after both of those things before I told the Dr. and he said he had no idea. And he had been seeing my son monthly. A case of a Dr. that did not know his patient very well and I was wasting money. read more
