Got a call from the service department that the truck had failed inspection due to the window tint. I informed service that it has been inspected in NY eight (8) times and never once was the window tint and issue. I reviewed my paperwork to find that it was inspected by this dealership less than two (2) years prior, without any issues. The service rep told me it never should have passed back then. Was also quoted $83 to clean the battery terminals and that my DEF was getting low. The recall was not really a recall per the service rep either. I would never trust this dealership to be honest with me, and I will never return there.

I was informed that There was a glitch and THEY had written the services up incorrectly so instead of saying oops our fault we screwed up when We informed you of the availible services left on your purchase I was charged for the oil change even though they had written the services up incorrectly and informed there customer of the incorrect information. I feel this was an error on the business and the consumer had to eat this one when they were informed of wrong information. I was also informed that back brakes for a 21 Jeep Compass was going to be like $900... Please that's a price gouge if I ever saw one. Do yourself a favor and just run... Seems like they are all over the place and don't communicate within the company so why would they communicate well with their customers.....

Their online scheduling system originally booked my appointment incorrectly for 4/2 instead of 4/3, but they did agree to still look over the vehicle, which I appreciated. After diagnosing the vehicle on 4/3, they contacted me with recommended repairs and I approved the work. My vehicle remained there for over two weeks and I picked it up after hours on Friday, 4/24. Immediately after pickup, I realized several of the original issues were still unresolved. The windshield wipers still did not work, the airbag light was still on, and later I discovered my backup camera no longer worked and the ambient temperature display now only showed dashes instead of a reading. I texted them that same evening regarding the unresolved issues. A few days later, I was told the wipers had essentially been forgotten about after another repair was completed and that the airbag concern was not something they worked on due to liability reasons -- something that was never communicated to me upfront despite being one of the main reasons I brought the vehicle in. The only repair that appears improved are the brakes, however now the vehicle shakes while braking. I can finally turn the heat off, but now my AC no longer works either. What was most disappointing to me was the lack of follow-up afterward. I sent a respectful message explaining my concerns after picking the vehicle up and never received any response. At that point, it stopped feeling like an honest mistake and started feeling like my concerns simply were not important. I understand older vehicles can be difficult to diagnose, but after spending a significant amount of money and being without my vehicle for over two weeks, I expected better communication, more thorough follow-through, and confirmation that the original concerns had actually been resolved before returning the vehicle. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the experience.

My mom and I have been on the look out for a good mechanic for awhile now after losing faith/trust…read morein who we were previously going to, and I can say that West's Service Station was a great find and they have certainly gained some new customers after the service we received! After getting stranded due to some car trouble the other day, we had my mom's car towed to West's based on two things: a) their reasonable labor rate and b)that they had previously helped my mom out when her car was overheating over the summer, with no expectations in return. They gained points for that so we were willing to give them our business. We're both in need of our inspections in about a month or so, so this was a test run in a way. We dropped off her car to them about an hour before they closed on Thursday evening and it was ready to go the next day. Quick and efficient service at a very reasonable rate. They didn't try to take advantage of us (let's be honest - half the time if you are a woman and dealing with a mechanic it feels like they're trying to take advantage of your assumed lack of knowledge). I will ABSOLUTELY be returning to them in April when it's time for my dreaded inspection, and I will visit their quaint little full service gas station whenever I'm in need and in the area. :)

They were able to complete the repairs immediately so we didn't have to come back which I appreciated. Nice clean, comfortable waiting area, with a refreshment area with coffee, fruit and popcorn.
