We've been coming to this family practice for decades, ever since the original doctors established…read moreit (30 years?) ago. Its been sold/bought a couple of times since then, and is now Optum. Patient care has always been very good here. The doctors, while massively overworked, take time to listen and provide good care. Our family Dr. Miyauchi, is retiring now, he's been just the best and we will miss him. The waiting are is roomy and clean. Office staff quick/efficient. Billing: Prices skyrocketed when the corporate conglomerates took over, more than doubling. I feel they are squeezing as much as they can out of our utterly broken healthcare/insurance system. If you dont have insurance I would avoid coming here if you have an option That said, the billing here in large part has been accurate. The MyChart app is being forced upon us; its very clunky and unwieldy, but you can usually maneuver thru the mire and get what you need. Uploading insurance works once you figure out the horrible user interface.

My doctor left a few years ago and I was left hanging with no new doctor, so I had to go through the process of finding a new doctor all over again. You have to find your room yourself which is just odd, and not very comforting or hospitable. My doctor was great, I miss her, so I'm leaving to find a new place now that she is gone.

Then my…read moresecond appointment I was telling her how my mother has the genetic disease called "hemachromatosis" I asked for blood work and to receive understanding of why I am having random health issues. She continued to make fun of me and say I don't have health issues, and this blood draw will do nothing, more likely you do not have hemachromatosis. Good thing I was consistent asking for the test, because I do have the genetic disease hemachromatosis and its a serious life condition where I receive a phlebotomy a week in hopes to get to the average age expectancy. Dr. Gawthrop is extremely condescending. Worst experience to learn you have a genetic disease and research it while the dr makes fun of you and says you don't and that I was too needy on wanting to learn more when we got the blood results I was not shocked but happy to tell others about my experience with Dr. Gawthrop.
