Validated parking when you go here. The only exception is you'll be lucky to find a wheelchair. Plan ahead. Call ahead to transportation. It's sad how few wheelchairs there are available at Buck.

Superb experienced staff and on-site facilities and with the hospital right across the street (literally) they have extensive resources available to them. A lot has changed over the years, they've moved from a somewhat poky little building on 116th to a multistory mega-plex (across 12th from Overlake Hospital) and the appointment systems is a bit of a maze of "push 1 for... push 2 for.... push 3 for...." but eventually you'll get to speak to real person who will really care what you have to say. Once my doctor retired they wanted to send me to three or four doctors to get the same meds I have been taking since 2007. To make it worse, I tried to get an appointment with an Overlake general practitioner for four months and have been waiting. Not to mention the other doctors they want to book me with for existing and long term meds with no intervening issues. I am convinced that this clinic is operated in a rigid and very non-holistic way, asking you to see a different doctor on different days IF you can get an appointment without waiting months, in order to bill as much different services as possible. I have literally been out of prescribed medication for two months and they refuse to refill even though I have been available to see the new doctor the entire time. The bureaucracy here is like nothing I have dealt with and l've used some of the best practitioners in the country, including in Los Angeles where everything was managed in a seamless holistic way with one provider who was there to deal with the ongoing and normal needs of the patient unless a bee issue arise and you need referral. Overlake is a big business with big bills and a big bureaucracy that will try to send you to four doctors for four medications (if you can get an appointment) even though you're medical history has not changed and your condition is perfectly stable. When I advised them I as having bad side effects from abruptly stopping a medication due to doctor retirement the reply was sorry you have to see try new doctor even though I can't get an appointment for months. Imagine seeking an appointment in February and being told we can see you in May. Stay away. Don't forget these are the corporate vultures who were in a scandal during Covid when they provided scarce Covid vaccines to their rich Bellevue donors. That's how they operate.

After my first appointment, I was told a prescription would be sent. It never sent to my pharmacy. I followed up 19 days later, got no response, and followed up again the next day, before finally getting my prescription. I also asked about scheduling a follow-up appointment at that time and never received a reply. It took 3 weeks before I got my prescription. Months later, I requested a copy of my medical records. I followed up 5 days after the initial request, then had to call 10 days after that just to get them released. It took 2 weeks to get my records. Most recently, I requested a renewal on a medication I've been taking for over 10 years. I heard nothing back for 11 days, then had to call in. I was placed on hold three separate times over the course of one call, totaling around 15 minutes, and was told I'd need to come in for an appointment before they'd refill it. I explained that I needed it immediately because they hadn't responded in 11 days. They put me on hold again and then doubled down on the same answer. Staff also blamed the delay on the receptionist being "new," despite her being the one who put me on hold twice to check with someone else on my behalf. It took 1.5 weeks and I never received my prescription. I have never had such horrible communication or professionalism from a medical facility. I would suggest going literally anywhere else.

She is a Dr who loves and cares for her patients. She teams up with specialists to make sure you are being treated appropriately and she goes above and beyond to make sure she thoroughly checks the whole person even if she has to direct you to other Doctors In their whole team of Doctors at Vera. I recently visited Vera Whole Health for a health and wellness exam, and it was a seamless process…read more I am the kind of person who HATES going to any kind of medical appointment, but the customer service provided here was absolutely wonderful. I felt welcomed and important as a patient. This Vera Whole Health center is located in the Totem Lake area in Kirkland, just up the hill from the main shopping plaza. It shares space with other health and medical clinics, but there are signs, indicating where Vera is. This was helpful for when trying to find the exact suite/office in the shared medical building. Parking is plenty, just right outside the building. After checking in I was able to get all of my tests and exams done, and all the medical professionals here seemed to truly want to help. They offered other services, as they weren't in a rush to get patients in and out. That's hardly the case at most medical centers. Vera Whole Health may not be as large as other health and medical institutions, but they offer many of the same general care that you can get from your primary care doctor, and you can even choose to have a primary care doctor from here. I was just so pleased with how helpful everyone was, and am glad to know I can get a general health screening done here.

My current provider is also good - takes time to hear my problems and makes sure to explain things thoroughly with me. I'm very greatly that my current provider helped identify the root causes of something I've struggled with for years. The front desk staff are also friendly. Only thing is that often times I need to wait at least 10-15min past my scheduled appointment time before I can be seen.

At my most recent visit, I paid my $50 copay for an insurance-covered, in-network appointment. The visit itself was fine. Labs and a ultrasound were ordered, and we discussed a plan. However, when I went to check out, I was told that I am now required to either enroll in a mandatory "wellness program" for $29/month or pay an additional $50 per visit on top of my copay because insurance "doesn't pay the clinic enough anymore." I was told that if I declined, I would no longer be allowed to see my provider or receive care at the clinic. I declined the wellness program and left feeling blindsided and abandoned, especially while waiting on important test results. After I contacted Blue Cross Blue Shield to file a complaint and ask weather this was appropriate for in-network care, the clinic later contacted me and informed me that I was being released as a patient. Prior to that, my emails expressing concern went unanswered, and a prescription refill request submitted over two weeks earlier remained unprocessed. The only communication I received was my lab order. During the phone call informing me of my release, I requested my medical records and clarification about my prescriptions. I was told my "tone" would not be tolerated, interrupted mid-sentence, and then placed on hold indefinitely. I was not yelling or being rude, I was advocating for my health. Ending care under these circumstances, while prescriptions and results were pending and concerns were unresolved, was deeply distressing. I would strongly caution prospective patients to ask very clear questions upfront about mandatory fees, insurance-covered care, and continuity if issues arise.

They have a small office and seems like most of the office business is Green Card Medical exams…read more The staff was polite unlike various other offices in Redmond and Bellevue where the staffers were rude. We were scheduled a week later for our exam after we called. The wait times were long, on the day of appointment we waited about an hour in our car in the parking lot (the office is small and they try to maintain social distancing). The doctor was very polite and curteous and didn't schedule any unnecessary tests. The fees were the lowest in the region at $180 per person for the exam. The office billed our tests to our insurance. Two days later the doctor called back with a vaccination that we could do at the time of picking up paperwork (or at any other pharmacy before that). We did not have to schedule an appointment for picking up our paperwork but the doctor was taking an early lunch that day (the staff kept us waiting for 45 minutes without telling that upfront :( ) But once the doctor was back, it hardly took 5 minutes.
