*BEWARE* AC went out…read morein my 83 year old Mothers home. We purchased a completely new Trane AC and Furnace (PRICEY) from Logan Services 5 years ago. I called to have someone come out and explained my situation and told them that it was 98 degrees out and my Mother was 83. They said it would take a week to get to, so I went and purchased a portable AC unit to get by until they arrived the following week. When the 2 guys showed up I told them I believe it was a capacitor issue, Sure enough it was a bad capacitor. They went and got one from their truck and promptly installed it (maybe 15 minutes). Said it was under warranty and there was no cost for the capacitor. THIS IS WHERE THEY CHARGED ME $421 DOLLARS! They said this was their standard service call. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE LOGAN SERVICES! They came, assessed and won my trust and business. We religiously care for and service our furnace as I don't want it to fail in the dead of winter. After looking at our furnace, Care told us that they did not see a need to replace it - that it checked out tine. We also had them service the AC unit which, knock on wood, has a been a gem and never yet failed us. They not only did the service, they made recommendations on how to maximize the cool air where it was wanted by shutting off the areas where we don't need it! I wish I would have known this was possible 25 years ago! As I freeze in the north side of the house while the hubby sweats in the south side. I work from home and my office is in the cool part and his TV room is in the south. We get direct sun that heats up that room quickly. Bottom line - this company is the bomb.
