From the days when he could barely lift his head, to learning to walk, talk, sing, and share stories about his day, we've watched him grow into a happy, curious, and confident little boy--all thanks to the loving care and nurturing environment of Family Academy. He not only learned language and knowledge, but also good manners and a true love of learning.The teachers are absolutely amazing--kind, patient, and so easy to communicate with. My son is a slow and picky eater, yet they always gave him extra time and gentle encouragement. They care for each child as if they were their own. The administration team is just as wonderful; they know every child by name and engage with them warmly every single day.What makes Family Academy so special is not only the quality of education but the genuine love and attention they give to every child. The environment encourages exploration, creativity, and curiosity about everything in the world. Under the center's care, my son truly blossomed. Well before we expected, he was singing songs to us, identifying letters, counting, and more. And most indicative of this center's awesomeness--my son was always so happy to go to school. It also meant a lot to me that the staff and teachers made genuine, impactful efforts to include our family's culture alongside mainstream culture, for example welcoming us to send in books about our holidays, directly engage the class in activities, and share ideas for the teachers to use. She speaks highly of her teachers and enjoys spending time with her classmates. The school director, Koshila, is very professional, supportive, and clearly dedicated to maintaining a high standard for the school. All the staff members are kind, helpful, and genuinely seem to love what they do. I especially appreciate the regular communication from the school. I receive emails and photos that keep me updated on my daughter's daily activities, which gives me great peace of mind. I had heard many positive things about this kindergarten from friends, but now I have experienced it myself and can confidently say it is very well organized and nurturing. I expressed this to the school when touring as well as when enrolling. They ensured me they are equip to handle this and she is in good hands HOWEVER things went from bad to worst! My first red flag was the school calling me on day 4 of enrollment asking can I pick her up because there policy is the first week is half a day. ON DAY 4 AFTER SHE HAS BEEN IN SCHOOL FROM 8AM-5PM MONDAY TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY!!! Being the parent I am I went to the school and picked my baby up. I inquired AGAIN is this a good fit for my daughter because Im starting to feel like its not and there all over the place. AGAIN they told me yes there were equipment to handle her. ON DAY 10 I arrived at the school at 9am the teacher was not in the class.. I saw administration and they seemed lost that the teacher was not there but took my daughter and said everything was under control. When I came to pick up my daughter I requested to speak with the owner Rakhi De. In the meeting my first question was what happened to the teacher. She told me the teacher quit because the kids were "BAD" and began to blame my daughter saying that she colored on walls and the other kids followed. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE FOR A PROVIDER TO BLAME A CHILD THAT HAS BEEN IN THE SCHOOL 2 WEEKS 10 DAYS FOR A TEACHER QUITTING. THIS WAS NEVER BOUGHT TO MY ATTENTION BEFORE THIS DAY SO I BELIEVED IT WAS A DEFENSE MECHANISM!! I was upset left and got my child. The next day I spoke with the Director Marian White-Hood. I told her everything that happened the previous day. She told me that the school only had been open 1 year ( I was not aware) and the turn over rate is bad with teachers and they are underpaid. She also informed me they pay more for the camera's in the class than the do the teachers ( this shows how much the care about there staff). She also expressed how she was going to ask the parents if they could pay extra to get a better teacher in the classroom. The school is already 2150 a month! With all that being said this school does not care about your child's development there more concerned with the money. This was my child's last day there and I wouldn't recommend any one to send there child here. There were no lesson plans the kids ran wild everyday I watched the camera no discipline no structure. My daughter is in a new private school currently and I must say sometimes you have to go through the rain to get a rainbow.

He had not been in daycare before and had a lot of separation anxiety when we'd had babysitters and when he first started full-time daycare. Susanna, and her assistant, Mebrat, dealt with this anxiety very well, redirecting him to other activities and keeping him busy. They do lots of different activities with the kids throughout the day, from making play dough and fake snow, playing with toys, singing songs and reading stories, to playing outside when the weather permits. She provides healthy meals and snacks too! She also sends us daily pictures of the kids having fun playing and learning. Susanna and Mebrat are always kind and nurturing and are able to make sure my son is always learning something new, is safe, happy, and healthy. I can tell that they really care and have a positive relationship with my son and all of the other children. I feel confident leaving my child in her care, knowing that he will be socializing with the other kids and learning while having fun!

Susanna cooks delicious, homemade food for the children everyday (breakfast and lunch) and provides snacks, too. I can't tell you what a time saver that was! The only reason we took our daughter out of Susanna's care was because we moved out of state and we haven't been able to find anything like it anywhere else. We miss Susanna so much!

Most important is that they truly love and nurture the children under their care. We could see and experience this from the moment we dropped our son off on his first day. The teachers are kind, our children absolutely love them and call them their 'best friends,' and the whole staff works to ensure the kids learn, grow, are challenged in the right ways, and foster such a welcoming and supportive environment. Maria who runs the daycare pours her heart and soul into the program. She communicates frequently with parents with texts and emails in addition to the regular newsletters that inform parents about the food, schedules and activities for the children. We have three children there now, all who attended during the pandemic, and it was a rough challenge for Maria and her staff to juggle all the health concerns but there was never a doubt they were trying to accommodate everyone as best as they could. Also, for any families like ours who were not Spanish speaking, each of our three children now understand and speak Spanish (which is remarkable) and Maria and her leadership staff are bilingual and are able to communicate with English speaking families about anything they need. Just an example of how much of family/community atmosphere that Buenos Amigos fosters, each year they rent an auditorium and put on a few 'shows' with the kids who learn songs and dance routines and you can see how much your children and learning and growing every day. In sum, my wife and I could not recommend Beunos Amigos highly enough. We entrust our three children to them, and in a way consider them part of our family now.

The teachers are kind and affectionate (before they are fired for no good reason). Cons: Maria the owner is always telling lies. She lies to her staff about the reason for firing them, lies to parents about why she fires her staff (including making up weird stories in parents newsletters), and lies about a handful of other things too. She is also paranoid and vindictive -- she tries to get gossip from parents about other parents and from teachers about other teachers and punishes people based on what she learns. We will miss the teachers, but most of our favorite teachers are gone now anyway. Overall, there was way too much drama here and we would have been better off somewhere else -- I don't consider this a very professionally run or reliable daycare.

Both kids love going (the baby does a little dance in his car seat when we arrive). I feel very confident not only in their excellent care but also that their level of teaching is top notch as I "catch" my oldest knowing all kinds of things we haven't taught him. :)

The staff is incredibly nurturing and caring, and there is very little turnover so our children have been able to build strong relationships with their teachers over multiple years. The curriculum is very play-based, and weather permitting, the kids are outside playing both morning and afternoon. Our kids would come home with all sorts of skills--physical and mental--and LOVE going to school. They offer healthy and varied lunches for kids over one or you can bring your own food. The teachers are also great with first time parents, helping us through potty training, keeping shoes on feet, etc. The school is bilingual and a lot of the staff are native Spanish speakers.

The leaders and teachers go above and beyond to care for and nurture every child, and it shows both in how much he is learning and how excited he is to run in the door each day. Deciding who to trust with your children is a huge deal, and I am SO glad that we chose SSCCC. As an early childhood educator and consultant myself, my expectations were high, and I have truly been blown away by how much he is learning, how deeply he is building knowledge about the world, and how much he is loved by his teachers.
