Glow is the finest, grandest, and most immersive Christmas celebration available. A complete wonderland throughout. Glow truly knows how to do the holidays right! They went all out this year! This year they took it even further: bigger glow, brighter magic, and the full holiday spirit. If you want big Christmas vibes then this is it! Every corner was dressed in holiday magic - twinkling lights, festive music, and pure Christmas vibes everywhere you turned. It was one of those perfect nights to be out walking, laughing, and just soaking it all in. From the moment I entered, the atmosphere pulled me in: bright lights, loud music, and the smell of hot chocolate drifting through the cold night air. It's the kind of place where even adults forget they're adults for a moment. The live music, the festive activities, the holiday characters, the Crystal Ice Palace--each element contributed to the sense of stepping into a winter festival built to entertain. Glow is pure festive magic! Just an unbelievable light display... just fantastic!... you have to see it to believe it!... and the art and talent that's put into this is out of this world! The displays were bold, vibrant, and full of magic -- every turn felt like something new to look at. It is, without a doubt, the most Instagrammable spot in the city during December. The light displays are beautifully crafted, creating a magical atmosphere that truly captures the festive spirit. You can definitely see the dedication and hard work throughout Glow. This is a magical experience that truly brings the spirit of Christmas to life! The light displays were breathtaking, the atmosphere felt like a fairytale, and every corner of Glow was glowing with wonder. The work gone into making this event must be massive but well worth it. Love all the thought and care that went into it. This is the place to experience the true feel of Christmas! It's festive magic at its best! It's the kind of place that makes you dream of holiday magic all over again!

There were some displays where you can interact with the lighting decorations or animatronics if you have one of those magic wands they sell. I walked through the sceneries more than once when I was there just because they are so gorgeous to look at. There is also a live concert, food trucks, a market section sponsored by other businesses, and an indoor train ride, which I had the pleasure of riding in. I highly recommend going to the Glow Gardens before Christmas is over.

So I'm an admitted history buff, so I'm drawn to sites like this, where history comes alive. As a…read morekid growing up in Montreal, I vividly remember being taken on a school field trip when I was around 7 to "Upper Canada Village", in Quebec, which was a whole mock village from roughly 1750-1800, which was HUGE, and where there were tons of people dressed in costume, demonstrating how potters and blacksmiths and bakers and "doctors" and "vets" and traders and everyday people lived, back back in the day. It was like Disneyland to me, and this field trip made such an impression, I pursued history as my major throughout university and even grad school. Fort Langley had the same appeal to me, even though it is on a much smaller scale than UCV. And even though , in this pandemic age, most of the edifices were unstaffed. Despite all this, I still loved it - as did my 21 yo daughter. Here's what's cool: they have a huge, free parking lot. (Plus some picnic benches, too, and lots of grassy field, if you want to have a picnic here). The admission prices are reasonable (I am attaching a photo of the pricing list). You can pay a bit extra for a guided audio tour. Or, they do give tours to groups if you arrange this in advance (there was a camp group of kids on a guided tour while we were there). The site is super well-maintained, and even if the buildings aren't staffed while you are there, there are excellent plaques and signs describing the items and the site. (Depending on when you go, though, the buildings may be staffed. Call in advance if this is important to you). Also, FYI they have many clean, accessible bathrooms in the visitors' area, when you first enter the site to purchase your tickets (IMP always good to know where the bathrooms are in town, if needed!). Here's what's good or bad, depending on your personal preference: the place is fairly small. I can't see spending more than an hour here. For my kid and me, we think this is a plus. If you are expecting an involved experience with bells and whistles, you probably will be disappointed. Here's the negatives: as mentioned, when we visited, all the buildings were unstaffed, so there were no staff members at the cooperage or the kitchen building or the managers' house, or the servants' quarters, etc. This might be important to some people, so call first if it is to you. (The only building manned was the blacksmith building, and Ahmed there was phenomenal! We got an impromptu history lesson AND a demonstration of his making a hook, which he gave us to keep. Super cool!). Also, remember to bring bug spray and sunblock and a water bottle. (We visited last year but had no bug spray and one of my kids was already getting bitten a lot, so we opted not to see the Fort then. This year, we knew better. Be prepared!). I'm attaching photos of the main plaques and signs and price list, as well as the brochure (sorry for the creases!).

We thought it would primarily be brunch/breakfast items but there was such a large selection and variety of items. The staff were very nice and accommodating. They also had live music which was a nice mood setter. You get juice, pop, coffee or tea included with your meal. Alcoholic drinks are extra charge. We had gone on a regular Sunday and not an "event" Sunday so am not sure of other offerings. There was sushi, inari sushi, dumplings, sticky rice (but not sure if the dimsum was leftover from lunar new year special), roast beef, ham, mussels, shrimp cocktail, fried rice, short rib, roasted vegetables (REAL veg not just bagged corn and peas like other places lol), sablefish, grilled chicken, eggs benny station, omelette station, charcuterie, scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, mini avo toasts and dessert bar. The only real downside is the overall price. I think just given the location I wish it were slightly cheaper. Adults are $45 and seniors are $37. There aren't a lot of good quality buffets around so I do understand it sets them apart it just may attract more guests at a bit of a cheaper price. Or maybe it they had something in conjunction with the casino to offer a discount that would be another incentive to get people across the bridge. I would be more so inclined to bring them back at a different rate as we are coming from Burnaby and Vancouver.

Federico was a fantastic guide - knowledgeable, attentive, and easygoing, with a great sense of humor. He kept a comfortable pace throughout and made sure we felt warm, safe, and supported the entire time. The kayak tracked beautifully in the water and we had a wonderful time cruising around the harbor for a couple hours. We even had a seal that popped its head out of the water about 20 feet in front of us! Lee (I believe he is the owner) and Wesley were a delight to deal with. I would highly recommend this company.

The cinema was very clean, spacious, and excellent overall, with plenty of parking. The theater itself was spotless, and the staff were very friendly. As for *The IMAX Experience® in 70MM*, it really needs no introduction--it was absolutely stunning and top-tier. If you're unsure about the best seating angle, it really depends on the movie! For a film like *Project Hail Mary*, which has a family-friendly tone with strong space visuals, sitting too far back isn't ideal--being a bit closer helps you truly immerse yourself in the scenes and the scale of space. But for movies like *Dune* (based on the trailer we saw), middle or back seats are definitely better.

Our 3 y/o daughter loves trains and we had seen the train a couple month prior (I think they were preparing and maybe advertising) going down the tracks as we drove along side them. The volunteers were all very lovely. There were a lot of them, probably 10+ people. I was at first sticker shocked at the admission prices but the train ride was almost an hour. The commentary from one of the volunteers was great. He provided a lot of history and facts on the first half of the stretch. It was a bit of a long ride for our daughter, she was good to go after the first 20 mins. There are also no washrooms onboard once you leave the station, obviously, so you have to make sure you go before you leave. They had a simulator that you could drive while you waited for your train to depart. She really enjoyed that! I'd recommend this attraction if you can afford it. It cost us $50 for our family of three. Adults are $20 & kids 2-11 years are $10.
