These guys can put your pictures onto almost anything so it's a great place to go if you're looking to get a gift for someone. And usually, something like this is pretty unique so it's sure to be a big hit! I think you can get this sort of stuff done for cheaper at Walmart but if you're looking for a more professional store, this is a good one. I have never had these worries at Black Gold Gallery and Frame. The owner is a lovely woman who is friendly but content to leave you to browse if you tell her you are just looking. A little known fact about this place also is if you are a Bradford exchange fan they will place an order for you if you see something you like on the website and will do it through their own account which is great if online shopping makes you uncomfortable or you don't have a credit card. Just make sure you have at least half the money to put down on your purchase and they will call you when it arrives. They were very understanding with me the last time I made a purchase and it took me three days to get to Leduc to actually pick it up. I only received one extra reminder phone call and not once was I ever accused of trying to flake out on paying them the other half of the money. These folks have been around since 1993 and with great selection and unbeatable customer service it is easy to see why. If you are in the Leduc area and looking to add to the decor of your home make sure to give this great small business a look and I promise you will not be disappointed.

I paid $350 for the 2 pictures. I usually get my framing done at Alberta Hospital where they operate a frame shop as a patient program. It's so much cheaper than anywhere in the city, but it's a long way to drive. Convenient location is why I chose Mill Creek. I have only seen women working in this shop. I'm very impressed. I went in for the first time early March (2013) to get a print framed for a donation item for a silent auction and brought in personal items for the house. They spent the time helping me find a frame that would accent the red in the photo (it was taken in Africa) and also helped pick a great mat for it.--which I recently found out they upgraded to museum to really help elevate the photo! I brought in 4 other canvas paintings to get stretched and framed. And after much discussion and playing around, they really helped me come up with the best options for the pieces and didn't pressure me at all. I ended up getting one stretched on canvas and the other 3 mounted on foam core and framed (best decision ever for these 3). They really did take the time to make sure I was happy with my decision! And another thing, I brought in a very sentimental piece from my trip and it was probably the most difficult to pick a frame for but they still pulled as much as possible and helped me come up with a decision that I was very very happy with (I swear it was at least an hour!). I have to say, these guys really do understand the art of framing! I went to go pick it up and was floored by how beautiful it turned out! I loved it and would recommend taking the time to let them figure out what you like and go from there. If you go in with an idea, they really can run with it and their selection is so vast that you really can trust their recommendations and simple tweaks. Truly, the art of framing is mastered here!
