Magpie's is a store on main street in Leduc that sells local and handmade items. It's located in…read morethe same building as The Leduc Coffee Shop (coffee shop is to the left when you walk in and Magpie's is on the right). Magpie's is great because it's a store that features unique items. Everything here from local (Leduc, Beaumont ad Edmonton area) artisans and producers. There's a huge variety of gifts here, kitchen stuff, jewellery, art, bath products, and greeting cards. They also have a nice selection of kids toys as well. I always enjoy popping into Magpie's to see what's new because the vendors change every once in a while (maybe every few months). It's one of the stores where if you see something you like you'll want to buy it, because you can't be sure it'll be there next time. But the one thing that always stands out to me is the staff. Everything I've come in the person working is very friendly and helpful. One time I came in and talked to the lady working about needing to find a thank you card for a friend I was going to visit in Vancouver. Came in a few weeks later to look for something else and the same lady remembered me and asked how my trip to Vancouver was. Super friendly staff, really cool unique products that support local artisans and craftspeople is always a win. If you're in Leduc make sure to stop into Magpie's.

Prices are pretty reasonable & kept my gift within budget which is a bonus! They also have a dish cloth that I had been searching high & low for & could only find in Beaumont. They're $3 & they're great little scrubbie cloths. Highly recommend them! Great little store, the lady that rang me in (I believe she was the owner) had wrapped my gift up nicely & the other lady at the till put into a nice little gift bag for me. It looked great! Days With Gray is a woman owned and run local gift ship here in Leduc. They have products like mugs…read more(ceramic and to-go tumblers), wine tumbler, magnets, stationary, cards, candles, air fresheners, stickers, pins, bath bombs, and some shirts and sweaters (there's probably more I'm missing). However this store is a bit different than a typical gift store because many of their products (not all) have funny, sassy, and sarcastic sayings on them (sometimes with swears). Obviously a mug saying something like "allergic to your bullshit" isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I appreciate it and know others who might as well. And they do have products without swearing. A while back a friend gave me a mug (now discontinued and not appropriate for work) from this store that I love. Recently I stopped in to buy something for another friend of mine. While there I overheard another customer ask if they could remove the swear from a product so if you go in, or contact them on their website they might be able to do that for you (though I don't work there so obviously I can't make any guarantees it's possible for everything). And they have products without sayings on them too. Most of their stock is products they make but, but they also carry stock from some local artistry. I've seen them have local coffee roaster Alternate Coffee in their store. Definitely check out their website to get an idea of their products, and if you can't make it out to Leduc they do offer shipping (rates will apply). Or you can order online and pick up in store as well. I've only been in the store one time, but I found the staff to be helpful. I'll definitely stop in again

Great little gem hidden in the country! Popped in the other day for the first time when driving…read morehome from a much larger greenhouse (Prairie Gardens in Bon Accord) whose quality had left us longing for something better. The greenhouse is small and located in the front yard of a private residence with a main building/shop and 2 greenhouses attached. There was care taken to details and all questions were answered thoughtfully. The atmosphere was cheerful and the plants were lovingly looked after. I hope this little gem stays afloat and we will definitely be returning when in the area! And my toddler quite enjoyed playing with the owner's dog, Maggie. Prices were on par and the gift shop had cute seasonal decorations that we just couldn't resist for our garden! We will definitely return!

I was greeted by Wonder Woman (it was Halloween) and she was very friendly and helpful. She let me browse the store without pressure (which I really appreciate because some stores can put a lot of pressure on you to purchase). Other than Christmas decorations, Jilly's a bit of everything! There is clothing in the back (it's very expensive though - so expensive I almost choked on my gum). They also have numerous home decor items, candles, bath and soap products, they have a lot of stuff. The sale section towards the back of the store drew me in immediately (it had purses). You can, and probably should, spend at least an hour here! I was in there for about 20 minutes which is seriously a long time for me. I can browse a store and be out in 5 minutes. But this place was like a candy store for me :) My favourite sections in the store were the Farmhouse Fresh skin care line (get the Whoopie Cream lotion), the gurgle pots, and the Volcano candles. Oh! And the scarves! Such a huge selection of scarves here! So many great spring patterns and colours. This boutique has something for every budget. You can pick up gifts from $20 and up. The store doesn't have an exact closing date but it won't be very long. Currently seasonal items are 60-70% off (some seriously cute Xmas décor and ornaments) and the remainder of the store is 20-30% off. They have really cute jewellery and unique items for special gifts. I really like their line of moon necklaces/bracelets where you pick the phase of the moon on a special date (birth, death, wedding, etc.) and can wear it as jewellery. I also like their sparkly Swarovski crystal bracelets, earrings, and necklaces. Some stuff here for sure can be found elsewhere or online for less but that's not the point of a boutique store. It's getting to go somewhere and browse through various collections to find the perfect gift for someone special. If you're a fan of s'well bottles, they still have a fairly good collection of unique ones and at 20% off you're paying a fair price for the designer s'wells. (Note you can get plain jane ones at Costco for $30) but the ones here are GORGEOUS and make me smile. Well I just adore this store!…read more Often you walk into gift shops, and yes, everything is lovely but you just don't really see anything practical; or everything is really expensive, or really niche. But at the Prettiest Present they really have a great variety of really useful gifts! From presents for those pooch peeps, to culinary and kitchen gadgets - as well as neat necessities. Then there are the baby gifts, the seasonal decor for your own abode, a wall of tempting teas and some really unique jewelry. And then the pies de resistance... they have the most fabulous collection of gift bags, gift boxes and paper so that when you find that perfect present you can also wrap it up without having to go to another store! Love it!! Although, I do not remember seeing ribbon or cards, I could be wrong, or maybe that's just asking for the moon. Pro Tip: Make sure to go into the basement! Often you go into a store like this and assume that down the steps is just a small smattering of a few other things. But in this case the basement is the majority of the shop.
