The team was so nice and caring for my dog! Checked him out and gave him appropriate medication right away and reassured us he'd be fine. Hours later, he was back to normal. You 100% get what you pay for please keep this in mind when you chose this vet....you are risking your bitches life and puppies lives....I understand people can't afford expensive surgeries now days but it is not worth putting your dogs and puppies at risk.

I was caring for my sister & BIL's pets while they were on vacation. On the day of their return,…read morewhile they were in flight, their puppy accidentally swallowed a desiccant packet... on a Saturday afternoon no less! Advice found after searching online was to consult my veterinarian. Not knowing who their vet was, I called the closest one, and Dr. Sladek answered my call. In a panic, all I said was that my puppy had swallowed a desiccant packet and I didn't know what to do--I didn't even identify myself, and he had no way of knowing who I was. He calmly advised me what to do and assured me that she likely didn't ingest enough to do her any real harm. He told me what signs to be on the lookout for over the next 24 hrs should the treatment not be enough. Well, puppy probably wondered what all the fuss was about because, after following Dr. S's treatment advice, she showed no signs of distress and is doing just fine. Thanks to Dr. Sladek for forwarding his clinic calls to his cell phone after hours, and for being so kind as to help a complete stranger.

To be clear - we have not used Jackson County Vet for medical veterinary services but did attempt…read moreto use them for boarding (and were considering using them for veterinary services). We made an appointment for boarding on a Tuesday and when we showed up, were told that they close on Wednesday at noon so we would not be able to pick up our dog until Thursday. This was never told to us in advance (apparently we were supposed to have their hours memorized ourselves). We did not want our dog to stay an extra day/night in a cage needlessly yet were coming from out of town and could not return by noon. It put us in a bad situation as we would have made other boarding arrangements had we known, but it was too late at this point. After we were on our way out of town, we called them and asked if we could coordinate with the person who checks on the dogs so that we could pick her up on Wednesday evening/afternoon. They were unwilling to work with us and extremely rude. We responded saying "we feel it is wrong that you do not tell people in advance that you do not tell people this in advance for boarding situations." The lady on the phone went quite literally berserk on us , saying they have never been called "wrong" before (umm, right) and told us to come pick up our dog and they would refuse to allow her to be boarded. All in all, we opted to leave her home alone and wasted about 2 hours driving. I don't know about the veterinarians, but with staff like the ones that we experienced, I would absolutely never try medical services from this clinic (which is unfortunate because the veterinarians might be good but the staff is who you work with the most). I have been to a lot of veterinary clinics and have never experienced anything that was so blatantly unprofessional or inappropriate.
