You know that your student is in a loving environment that wants to see them succeed, learn with confidence, and use gifts and talents to glorify the Lord. It's so wonderful to see a studio that picks age appropriate music, costumes, and dances. Sending my girls to SSD was the best decision and I can't wait to see them continue to grow as dancers there.

My major concern is the way teaching dancing isn't their primary focus. The owner/manager kicked off the recent Christmas recital by telling everyone that the school's primary goal is to spread Christianity, and teaching dance is only a secondary concern. That focus has been evident in the way they take time out of every dance lesson for prayer, and they spend entire lessons doing things other than teaching (e.g., the gift exchange, or the time when they tried to force the parents to learn to dance instead of the kids). The Christmas recital performance was unimpressive across all the age groups, so it certainly seems like teaching dance is secondary. Additionally, I have some minor issues. They have some classes in the "annex" at the church, but the hallway is not air conditioned so it got uncomfortably hot in the summer, and the only bathrooms are inside the dance rooms so you have to interrupt the dancers to use the restroom. Also, communications were lacking. They have an app, they send emails, and they post things to the notice board...but most things only are in one of those locations, so you have to check all three to find out when/where something is happening. If something is mentioned in more than one place, the info does not always agree, so sometimes you have to just call the office and ask when or where the recital is or what your dancer needs to wear. I found out that my child was supposed to get measured for a costume because someone I didn't know had a table in the hallway and was doing measurements of kids, so we stopped and asked what they were doing...no one informed me (to my knowledge) about the costumes or measurements, and if we had missed that day we would not have known until it was too late.

My 14-year-old daughter just joined the TADA dance family this year. She has danced since she was…read more3 at a different HUGE well-known studio in The Woodlands. I am also a dance teacher at a local school and have a degree in dance from UT Austin. All of this being said, I can't say enough good things about TADA!!! Our experience has been beyond my expectations. My daughter is an excellent dancer, but in the past, she has never been given the opportunity to grow. She had to push HERSELF. She had to join Summer Ballet Intensives for WEEKS at a time. She had to take PRIVATE lessons from choreographers who would stretch her limits. At TADA, my daughter has improved her dance ability 3 fold... and we have only been at this studio for 7 months. She also takes fewer classes a week at TADA than she has taken in the past 4 years and she comes out of class with sweat, knowledge and a smile, wanting me to let her take more classes! With a primary degree in ballet, I know they are teaching everything correctly and safely. Windows are always open and I can watch the corrections and interactions with teachers. I have high expectations of professional dance teachers and can prove by watching that I am getting exactly what I want to pay for. Elise is the ballet director and being from Houston Ballet, she knows exactly what she's doing. Let's be honest, if your daughter is in dance, especially on a team, it is not cheap. However, it is much cheaper here than what I have paid in the past at the old studio. I don't feel like anyone is gouging prices. Everything is upfront and honest. They even let my daughter put snack food on her bill that I can pay at the end of the month (when I forget to send her with a snack or a drink, LOL!). I have never experienced such a positive atmosphere in the dance world as I do when I am at TADA. The dance world is full of negative competition and jealous girls that will push others out of the way to be in front. I have experienced this as a dancer, as a teacher, and from the other studio. I have NEVER felt that at TADA and neither has my daughter. We are going into our third competition of the season and the dancers and teachers all support each other and cheer each other on. The girls are genuinely excited for each other. They watch each other dance. They lift each other up. There is no jealousy because they know it is a team effort. I truely believe that attitude can only come from the top... Kristan and Tessie are amazing at getting the girls excited as a team. They are honest, loving and REAL!!!! I can tell they care about my daughter and every other dancer from their heart. If your looking for a dance studio, TADA is the best in the area. We love dance at TADA!!

We came to Vault because Jerrica promised to do the solos for my two granddaughters. I guess that…read morewas just to get us to sign up, Jerrica did one or two lessons and then passed them off to underlings. Bait and Switch. The quality and timing (cancellations) of solo practices resulted in us getting them additional outside training. Website home page still has last year's info and links from two years ago. Last minute cancellations and venue changes, with us coming to studio needlessly multiple times. At first performance, while sitting there peacefully waiting for the dances to start, Vault photographer shows up at last minute and wants the space I'm saving for my daughter. I tell her no. She moves our stuff and takes it anyway. Jerrica told my granddaughter she could be in HipHop. Granddaughter was all excited. Then when my granddaughter showed up to practice, Jerrica said she changed her mind. Though first Jerrica said she never said ok, but later admitted it. Granddaughter was very disappointed. Now the season is almost over and we still don't have the jacket we paid for a long time ago. Jerrica said she has it. She's just not ready to give it me. Forget resolving any issues that arise, Jerrica unwilling to address or followup. Jerrica will just say it never happened. It appears, if you add a class it costs more, but if you drop a class you are told it's part of the program and no refund. Update: My granddaughters were dismissed from studio due to this review. How were they informed? By their teammates. How were we informed? By my granddaughters.
