I had no issue with paying a fee for Eric to look at my son's car.. that is customary and expected. What is not acceptable is that he showed up, completely misdiagnosed the issue after a few minutes, collected his fee and left. He said it would take a few days but took no effort to follow up, whatsoever. He blamed my son for not continuing to call him... we fixed the issue ourselves. Meanwhile, this person took umbrage with the negative review and became aggressive with his responses and texts to my son. I'm shocked that yelp allows legitimate negative reviews to be removed... this should be a "mobile battery charger" service and not a mechanic.

Due to things I had going on i had to cancel. cacontacted himp back a few days later to come back. We settled for 8:30 am the next day. He arrived on time and told me I needed a new tire and said he would call around. He also stated that he would charge me $50 flat rate. And once we found a tire he could go and exchange it for me. I agreed upon that first. He told me that my new tire was going to be around 200 dolland I thought that was a little excessive for one tire, especially such a small tire. So he said he would call another place.He called another place and as he was on the phone I listened to the conversation and google the make and model. When? My Google search came up. I seen that for a brand new tire. It ranged from 49 to $70. He gets off the phone and tells me that he found one for a hundread plus tax. I knew that was a bit excessive. So I continued to Google why he said he was going to return the tire. I sent him the screenshot of the tires I found which were all brand new and told them please do not let them overcharge me for a tire. He text me back and said he found one for a $110. And I ask him to bring the receipt when he returned. I asked him for a receipt and he showed me a receipt for a $100. Was it a proper receipt? I don't know. I just took his word for it but told him that was more expensive than any of the other tires. I had looked up so when it came time for payment. He told me it was going to be a 175 when he quoted me $50 and showed me a receipt for a 100 I told him that was more than. We talked about, but at that point it was done and I was just trying to hurry up and end the transaction. I asked him if he had changed. He told me he did not at that point I did not want to pay him any extra money because I felt like he had already charged me way too much and informed him. I was gonna go to the bank and get change. Once arriving at the bank, the lines were too long and he was waiting outside with my car. So I just went ahead and gave him the money. So we both could be done with the trandaction. All in all, I really feel like because I was a woman he did take advantage and overcharged me and up charged me. I told him as I was giving him the money that I just wanted it to be done with. He agreed took the cash and then left. In all honesty, outside of him over charcharging me he got the work done.

We.called AAA and all they could suggest was to tow it into town. Every dealer and auto shop was closing up and we were told the earliest any one could look at it would be Monday even though we were 200 miles from home. We called Joel, he came right away and diagnosed the problem. He started with the easiest fixes hoping to save us time and money, but it turned out to be our starter. We towed the car to his car at 5 pm Friday night and he had it fixed, and us on the road by 8:30 the next morning. He worked on the car until 1 am to make sure we'd make it home on time. His price was reasonable, his workmanship was excellent and he explained the problems as he went. We were stuck and skeptical of how we were going to fix the car and Joel was patient and professional. He's great to do business with and we recommend him 100%.
