Opening of business... I was planning on going to Roscoe's Tire for an oil change... Though, on 10/31/25, Roscoe's Tires was closed due to a family emergency... 11/7/25, they were still closed due to a family emergency. At the present time on 11/12/25, I went and passed by Roscoe's, they were still closed. I can respect this is a family emergency occurring, I get that. This is the third week and the business of Roscoe's Tire has not been opened. When the Rick Melton and his son Marcus ran the business, they did an outstanding job for customers and the community. When the Melton family sold the business, I thought let's give the new owner a chance to continue Roscoe's legacy... I am very disappointed. They are the only place I go to and trust their jobs done... So far, they could lose money every business day when it's not open on their Monday-Friday schedule... We were traveling through Porterville and had stayed the night there. When we got in the car that morning I saw we had a flat. The service man diagnosed the problem as a bad valve. It turned out at least one other valve was bad so he replaced them. I was worried about the tire having been flat but he assured me that it is in good shape, thus losing the chance to sell me a tire I didn't need- honest of him. The whole process was a fraction of the cost I've had for similar work elsewhere. read more

This shop is under new management and it shows, my early 2000s camper van broke down passing through Porterville and my brakes went out on me which is never what you want, especially during a 93 degree heat wave! After calling around town bright and early on Friday morning and getting several "do you want an appointment mid to late next week?" I called Roscoes and even though they were slammed, Carlos said he could try to squeeze me in. Though they weren't able to get to me that day, the guys spent all day Saturday fixing my home on wheels and got me out of there as soon as they could with fair and honest work. Michael was incredibly kind on the phone, answered all of my questions, and was direct and honest when the work was delayed which is totally understandable considering the state of the world. When it was time to pick up the van, I sat in the lobby for a bit and watched him treat his customers and team with a level of kindness, respect and humor that I haven't seen often at an auto shop especially right now. Horrible shop they keep posting on carfax of my truck being serviced and altering the mileage of my truck, i live in southern california and never been to this location ever! called numerous times to solve this issue and i get asked for my truck licence plate info and they post once again even more mileage on the carfax, this is an ongoing matter that started in August of 2021 and they have not corrected after numerous calls. This place is a Fraud I own and operate a Tire Shop as well in Riverside Ca. we do not conduct Fraudulent information if theres someone reading this i would like for u to reach out and solve this matter read more

I was extremely pleased with the staff at ROSCOE'S, I went in and told them I wanted a new tire, the one I was driving on had a slow leak, the young man asked if the tire had been checked for leaks, I said no, he said ,well let check it out first, they took the tire off and found a very small nail, they fixed it, put the tire back on and boom fixed tire, 12.50 compared to 200.00, awesome, anyone else probably would have just said, yes mam, we'll get that new tire on in a jiff, Thanks ROSCOE'S read more

I had dropped my truck off for a scheduled appointment when I get a call saying that they were incorrect that the transmission service and the pan had to be pulled but there were no seals nor filters in town; they'ed have to order them. I asked if they were done changing oil and they were; your trucks ready to go, we can talk about rescheduling the trans fluid change when you get here. I get down there and wait while other customers talk and get taken care of. I was next in line and had waited 20 minutes so I sat on the couch because my back was aching. When the cashier returned it was my turn but a young man rushed the counter and said I just need to sign fir my tires real quick. I spoke up, I t was waiting here and it's my turn but was ignored. I decided to just take my vehicle somewhere else for future service rather then make a scene. The counter guy really doesn't pay attention to his customers. If I were you I'd think twice about visiting the establishment, unless you enjoy being walked on. If you have been going there for years maybe they treat you better ? It's been my experience in life that a lack of integrity doesn't just appear- in one's personality- it's a character flaw that's deeply ingrained and cultivated from years of practice until it becomes a personality traits. Bought these tires less than a year ago. At the time of purchase they told us they were 60,000 mile tires and now here we are less then 40,000 miles already showing severe abnormal wear. They did an alignment on the vehicle a few different times. We just brought the vehicle in today and spoke with the owner who blamed it on the GM design and said he basically would not do anything for us. It really sucks since we spent so much money just to have to replace them less then a year later NOT with them! I will NEVER go back to roscoes and I would suggest you turn the other way if you are considering them. Very disappointed :( read more

I recently took my truck in for a repair. New thermostat Radiator flush New water pump Originally the job was supposed to be 500 which seemed reasonable. I know I could have done the work myself for far less but I wanted it done by a pro and with warranty. I accept the terms and leave to go wait somewhere else. I get a call from their sales guy and come to find out they snapped a bolt on the thermostat housing and stripped the other. The front desk guy tells me the total is now 1200. 1200......because they snapped a bolt. I don't care how rusty the bolt may have been. The mechanic snapped the bolt in the engine. Not me. I told the front desk guy to get the truck off of the jack. He offers some high interest credit card scam they have going on. I tell him nope. Get my truck off of the jack. I paid for the radiator flush, water pump, he gauges me for 350. I take my truck to a friend of mine, Dell out the bolts, retap the threads, replace the intake gasket and thermostat. $175. You are a bunch of crooks Roscoes. I do not recommend your business. You have shameful business practices. read more
