I tried this salon on a recommendation from a lady with a great cut I saw in town and was quite pleased when I first went in. The people were very pleasant and friendly and I felt great in the environment. My first cut was ok, I suppose, but not good. I was stunned that the stylist used electric clippers on my hair since I have never had this done before, but it wasn't too awful...just not good. The next cut, however, has been horrible! Despite me asking her to bring her chunking sheers, she did not "find" them. She again used the clippers, but this time the result was awful! The back was extremely short and thick since the hair was cut more like a man's there. The sides and the top were scissor cut, but were not properly blended with the stark shave of the back at all! The worst part was the color I paid over $200.00 to have done. We were supposed to take my hair from a dark reddish brown to the natural grey it has been turning to and wow was it a problem!!! I have since found out it would have been an almost impossible task to begin with. But, the stylist said she could do it and I did agree to have it done. My hair was completely destroyed! I spent over 8 hours the first day with various products and several people working on my hair and had to come back the next day for some serious help to put color back in. My hair looked almost the same color as my brindle Pomeranian dog and the texture was completely fried! I have been unable to do anything to it to prevent the breakage and it was left as if it had been burned in a fire. I have now spent over two months trying to get it healthy enough to get a good cut somewhere else! I've had to buy oloplex in several types to help to end the damage and have had other hairstylists tell me I had to just let it grow because it was damaged beyond any possible repair. My hair is generally very short and highly texturized to give it lift, but now it is a burnt, crispy, frizzy mess with horrible color that won't hold due to all of the bleach damage. I have generously given this salon two stars because the environment and the people were pleasant, but for services rendered, I would honestly rate below one star. read more

I live in Atlanta and have gone to many of the reputable salons like Carter Barnes, Toni and Guys, Van Michaels and have never been really satisfied with my hair like I have been with Emily. Best place to get the look for you. Color and cut highlights, all the staff makes sure your visit is a real treat. Coffee bar, great location. Recently expanded the salon the business is the "It" place to go. Hours to accommodate any busy schedule. I can't say enough about the talent under this roof. You will not be disappointed. There aren't that many nice places for a man to get a decent cut and style that doesn't cost a kidney. Mbellish always takes care of me and Jay is the stylist who does a lot of cuts for men here. I highly recommend them for men who want to do better than Sports Clips, etc. read more

I called Monday regarding an afternoon hair appointment instead of just doing a walk in and I'm glad I did. Ms.Betty the receptionist told me that the hair dressers typically schedule their own appointments. I was lucky to call at 230 and get an appointment for 445 with Chelsea. I arrived promptly at 445 and the place was busy for a Monday. I walked in and I was immediately greeted by who I believe is Ms.Betty. The place is open and full of bright natural light which I loved. The decor was great, and they also sell jewelry and clothes as well as being a hair salon. Chelsea came to get me soon after I arrived and I told her I just wanted a simple trim. We were headed to the sinks when I informed her I had just previously showered so she just cut my hair damp! It was great. My hair cut lasted about 20 minutes and I was done by 515! I call that a win. This place is nice, clean, very efficient and the hair cut cost me $35 so I was satisfied when I left. read more

I got my hair highlighted and none of the highlights are the same colour, some are bleach blonde while some are a brown and others light brown. I've also come here to get my hair curled, two hours later my hair is just wavy straight. I've never had that happen before. The people who work here are all friendly but I would suggest another salon if you want to get your hair done. read more

I'm giving 2 stars only because I believe the people are nice and the facility is lovely. This is a booth rental place, the receptionist is not given a master book, so, she is not able to assist with much. She is not able to book appointments as each stylist keeps her own and for a first timer, if you cannot remember your stylist name she must go back into the salon and ask each individual person. The sign says walk-ins but I have no idea how they are able to accomplish that. I usually will give a 2nd chance, but this was just too disorganized. read more
