Mike and his crew did a wonderful job with their masonry and landscaping skills. The men were diligent, respectful, and very professional. Despite the difficult weather conditions from driving rain for days and an oppressive heat wave, the workers persevered with minimal disruptions. The work and the price were fair and generous. Mike supported us at every step. He answered all questions we posed to him. He is clearly knowledgeable and innovative in identifying and resolving potential problems. His keen eye for quality and complimentary additions to our yard were great. The fire pit he recommended and built really made our property look and feel even more inviting. We will have Mike and his crew back for other projects in the future! read more

This was actually the worst contractor experience I've ever had in my life. Price increased drastically by $10k+ from original quote. I felt threatened and very scared after working with them that they would damage my property. read more

If I could have selected 0 stars, I would have. The only reason I am writing this review is in hope that I can prevent someone else from going through the nightmare I have. I hired MB Paving & Masonry to simply repair some steps. The crew showed up and after tearing much of the old steps out, Mike said the job must now be a total replacement and the cost almost DOUBLED! What choice did I have since now he already tour up most of what was there. So they began a total replacement. I dont want to write a book here, so lets just say my steps were left with CRACKS, SHABBY WORK, MISSING PARTS and they are not even up to code! After paying Mike over $13,000.00, he never came back to fix anything! Disappointed and Ripped Off, Reverend Harry M Luther read more

A total rip off. Many mistakes on outside steps n sidewalk. Never installed railings. $25,000 total. 100% negative reviews found out later.

MB Paving and its owner, Mike, were an absolute nightmare to deal with. No one should be treated the way he treated me, my family and my property. He approached me about doing a driveway repair, and I subsequently hired him to sand and relevel pavers for two driveway aprons, and part of a walkway/stair. The work was done poorly, and the job was never completed (only one of two driveway aprons were sanded). My mistake was giving Mike the money upfront. When I pointed out that the job was of poor quality and the other apron wasn't completed, Mike said he'd return the following day to finish/fix. Over the next 6 months, across 14 missed appointments, he failed to show up. Finally, I requested a refund in writing. This is where dealing with MB Paving got really exciting. Mike immediately called my phone and started screaming obscenities at me. He then quickly apologized and offered a refund. However, this $5500 refund needed to be on his terms, and he was very clear that I should consider myself lucky to get it. It would to be paid in $900 increments over a period of 6 months if I promised not to send a poor review. During this 6 month time he made excuses, hurled obscenities, and ultimately did not finish paying the refund. Ultimately, I paid another team far less to complete the job (with far greater quality). read more

The experience has been very disappointing with MB Paving. We selected the due to the high rating and reviews. The company completed out paving and did a great job in August. As part of the contract, they were also going to sealcoat our driveway. The contract was to sealcoat now and also again in the spring. After the paving, the company, started the sealcoating but ran out of materials on a Friday afternoon. My husband paid the company in the full amount and the owner, Mike promised he would return the following week to complete the last 10 feet or so of the driveway. I have included a picture very clearly showing where the sealcoating stopped. It has been 2.5 months since then. We have called and texted. Sometimes he replies, sometimes he doesn't. When he does, he promises to come the following week. When he fails to show up, he has various excuses from "I only does this type of work part-time" to "I don't do seal coating for everyone - I do paving" to "The materials didn't come in". He has told us that the job will only take 6 minutes to complete but yet he hasn't delivered on the job. When we call to check, he has told us that we are "pressuring him" and that "only God can pressure him". I told him that there's nothing I can do if he doesn't come back to complete the job except share my experiences. He got very nasty and menacingly said, "Is that what you want to do? Huh?" We have given up and will look for another company to finish the job next year. This is not a trustworthy company and the owner can turn on you very quickly. Stay away. Update: While he was here he insisted that my front stop was falling apart and needed to be replaced. Repairs were not an option. It was out of my budget. Then he came back and said he could repair it. We declined. Today I had a contractor look at my stoop. He said there's nothing wrong with it. MB Pavibg is dishonest. He was just trying to make us spend unnecessarily. Again STAY AWAY! read more

Mike and his team did a great job on a big project. I had the concrete around my pool taken out as well as replace the pavers on two patios and extend the walkway. It involved building a retaining wall and drainage as well. The finished project came out great and I am very pleased with the end result. read more

Horrible!!!! Horrible!!!! Stay away!!! I'm trying to prevent your nightmare.Did my front walkway. First step 8 inches second step 4 inches. Did not want to redo it until he thought the town was involved. Will tell you no permit is needed not true! His work is terrible. Back walkway was also done. He ruined my back stairs making the last step uneven. If i ever wanted to sell would have to redo my back staircase or walkway. When he is confronted he becomes abusive. He also promised a firepit. Don't hold your breathe months later and many texts later another disappointment. He will be your worst nightmare. read more

This guy is a lunatic, something was not done right and I brought it up, starts yelling and getting all angry like a child. Then comes back and fixes it, but demanded to be paid in full before another piece of the project we agreed on was not finished. Then he started the final piece of the project as agreed, left, and never came back to finish the job and does not answer my texts or calls. Really unprofessional and scummy to do. I am not sure how there are perfect 5 star reviews on Google. It has been months since he left and ghosted us. read more

I called the first time asking for an estimate to pave my driway, he told me to text the address which I did and told me he would have looked it up. One week later today I have not received any estimate so I call again, he asks me for the address, next he tells me he would stop by tomorrow to give a look, then asks me for the third time what I want to have done, and then after I point out that he asked the same question multiple times all of a sudden he tells me very arrogantly that the expense for this driveway is 20K....totally unprofessional. I do not want this company to do any job for me, I do not trust them. read more
