I took the battery I had purchased back to MB Battery (purchased August 2023 so it was less than a year old) because it wasn't holding a charge. Since it was still under warranty, I expected no issues with exchanging it for another one. However, after testing, they said my RV Marine Battery was fine and suggested there was a problem with my trailer, advising me to get a 'trailer expert' to diagnose it.
I had an electrician inspect the wiring in my trailer, and they found nothing wrong, with no excessive power draw. My neighbor offered to trickle charge the battery and test it in his trailer. Within six hours, the battery died. Knowing it was still under warranty, I returned to Manitoba Battery. They said they needed to keep it overnight for further testing.
The next day, after not hearing from them, I called. After waiting on hold, they told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the battery. I explained that while the battery worked initially, it only held a charge for a short duration and asked if they would honor the warranty. The employee raised his voice, disagreeing with my assertion that their diagnosis was incorrect.
The employee was so unprofessional! I asked if this was how they treated all customers or just women. He again refused to honour the warranty, insisting the battery was fine. This is incorrect; the battery loses charge within 5-6 hours. Although Manitoba Battery has reasonable prices, you get what you pay! In my opinion, cheap batteries and terrible customer service! I will never do business with them again! read more
