Chris took the time to really understand my situation, and not only was he able to get me a refund this year, he also helped review my prior returns and file amendments on past taxes to get back even more money. The worst experience I have ever had in filing taxes, and I strongly urge you not to file your…read moretaxes with H & A Tax Services. Unprofessional treatment and horrible services which includes refusing to answer my phone calls, emails, and in-person contact. Background: I paid for my 2023 Tax Return and Jack electronically filed my 2023 Tax Return on March 15, 2024. As of October 4, 2024, I have not received my refund. Eventually after many failed attempts to reach Jack, including visiting his office, and calling his office multiple times, when he answered the phone he did not tell me the reason as to what the issue is. Only that since this electronic file "failed", Jack would "mail" the tax return. On July 8, 2024, Jack told me he "mailed it" but refused to provide any tracking number. However, as of October 4, 2024, the IRS has no record of any sort of "mailed tax return". As of today, any attempt to contact Jack or his office fails. I have filed my taxes for years and have never had any issues before. This is a horrible experience and I urge you to reconsider Jack and H & A Tax Services for your tax filing purposes. I now have to pay out of pocket a second time for a more competent tax specialist to re-file my 2023 taxes and deal with penalties for the failed filing by Jack. Jack has refused to refund me for this inconvenience.

In 2015 I had pretty tricky situation regarding fraudulent activity found in my 2013 return. A previous tax guy in another stated prepared and filed my 2013 and stole $20,000 from the IRS. The scammer did it in such a way that he made it seem as though I personally filed my own return, wrote $55k off for a truck I never owned, for a business I never operated. I came to Mash accounting again because of the great job Ando did on my 2014 return. Ando was able to go through the old filings and noticed some discrepancies that the average person would not have noticed, if they weren't patient or cared about their client. Long story short, I was cleared of the $20,000 tax debt the IRS said I owed. Mash Accounting does excellent work and Ando is the man!! I highly recommend them.

My husband is a musician who does lots of gig/freelance work and we wanted to get professional eyes on our taxes as our situation has become more complex. We had an intro call with Sandy who assured us she could help with our situation. We then decided to take the next step and provided all of our documents within their portal on March 3rd. After submitting we heard nothing back from them for weeks and so we called towards the end of the month to check in. When we did this they only then started asking us for additional documents and wanted us to reformat all profits and losses within their specific document formats despite us already providing these 4 weeks prior in our own format. We asked them if they could just use our existing documents and they said that would be an additional bookkeeper service of $300. At this point we were very frustrated that they took an entire month to tell us all of this after we submitted initial documents. We ended up filing with an alternative.
