After his normal business hours, he still made time to come over and help me out. Not only did he order the parts for me at a deep discount, but instead of just knocking the job out himself, he patiently walked me through the entire process step by step. He showed me exactly how to do it so I could handle it myself should the need ever come up in the future. What really stood out, though, was what a genuinely kind and sincere person he is. From my brief interaction with him, he seems to be a true family man. He lit up talking about his kids and how important it is to him to put them through good schools and give them the best opportunity in life he can. He shared how truly blessed he feels being able to help others through his landscaping business, and how that allows him to take care of his family in return. He is reliable, punctual, and courteous, and he does great work, often going well above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We're like you; we scoured Yelp for the best reviews before reaching out to multiple landscapers. We had a hard time finding someone who would (a) respond, (b) show up at the agreed time to provide an estimate, and (c) show up at the agreed time to do the work. We actually hired a different landscaper, who didn't show up to do the work after multiple reschedules. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise because we hired Carlos. If he doesn't respond to your message right away, give him a little time -- he's probably out working! We initially hired Carlos for a one-time project that included cleaning and re-mulching plant beds, weed removal, and trimming dozens of monstrously overgrown rose bushes and other plants. His estimate was reasonable and he arrived on time for each visit. He and his crew did a great job and totally transformed our yard. Based on the good experience with the one-time project, we hired Carlos for biweekly service. He has reliably shown up every time for the past six months, and continues to do great work. We just asked for basic maintenance like grass trimming and leaf blowing, but he has consistently gone above and beyond to maintain the work he did with the one-time project, which we didn't expect, and continues to blow us away with the scope and quality of his work. We have also asked him to do smaller projects, like replacing broken sprinkler heads, which he has done promptly, cheerfully, and at a very reasonable cost. Every time Carlos finishes his work, I think, wow, this guy does such a great job, I should go write a Yelp review. Well, finally, here it is! Carlos Garcia is amazing. The ask was to do the weeding, trimming, and cleaning up. He trimmed 2 out of 5 trees, weeding was not done properly, and lastly he left the entire backyard a mess. He didn't gather the trimmed cutting and left the sticks everywhere. We also have some stones decor on the side and the stones were scattered all over. While he was working I had to step out to pick up my kids and when I got back this guy had left this mess for me to clean.
