I have been to this clinic a number of times. Never a problem, short wait time if any at all. Happy with the Dr and staff!

With yearly physicals (blood work, ECG, blood pressure monitoring, nutrition counseling, strength assessment) it's amazing! You can email your doctor or your nutritionist or whoever if you have questions. It really is the best care I have ever gotten. Wish they had better parking.

Yes, this is controversial for some…read more I support universal health care, but don't quite understand why it should come at a universal low standard. My dentist calls me every 4 months for a cleaning or checkup. When was the last time I had a blood test.?... 10 years! I know many have adequate medical care through established family practices via standard health care, but some don't. I did not. I think I knew something was not right and when I couldn't arrange a standard medical exam through my MD (after 1 year of trying and two misconnects) then I signed up for Copeman. After the intake questions and battery of exams and tests, it was found that essentially everything was off the charts. I was actually in pretty bad shape. Fortunately things were found early enough, I received some expert advice, and was able to get some lifestyle choices turned around before it was too late. The actual facility is centrally located, has easy off-street parking with nice (modern and clean!) offices and waiting room. There are nutritionists, physiotherapists, exercise kinesiologists, nurses, lab staff and counsellors available, but most importantly, physicians who actually take their hand off of the door handle when they talk to you. For lab tests, samples are all taken on site. This is the way health care should be. It is not luxurious, unless you compare it to the standard squalid waiting rooms at physicians' offices, usually located in dilapidated medical buildings with antique furnishings and equipment from the 60s. How we have come to accept the current state as acceptable is bewildering to me. While I feel a twinge of liberal guilt about the whole thing, this is a complicated issue with no easy answers. I was not willing to die waiting for politicians and government to figure it out. At $4K/ first year and $2.5K/year following (there are also family plans), it is certainly not for everyone. I am a supporter, and while this kind of service is not the answer to our current delivery problems, it just might be part of the solution.

My small business will grow into a huge business, and so on. One day. I think I have many days to yelp yet, but the Hope never dies. Now... For those who has been following my reviews, here is the best part - there will be no ex bashing remarks in this one. Yep, I can do this too. Actually, this is going to be a very serious review. This particular location is remarkable because of it's vehicle modifications service, ran by a very remarkable person, Kevin. What we sometimes take for granted, means a world to some. For example, driving. Driving undoubtedly means freedom. What if this freedom is being taken away due to a physical disability as a result of an accident, injury, etc? What if the person is absolutely fit to drive on cognitive level, but their disability limits them from operating the vehicle safely? In this case, this is the best place to go to gain that freedom back! Widest variety of solutions to suit just about any case of moderate to severe limb damage! You should see how creative Kevin and his team are! Using only certified, approved and safety tested equipment, they put people back on the road and bring their freedom back! If you know someone who is looking to modify (or purchase a modified vehicle) their current vehicle, I'd suggest you share this information with them. There some funding programs available to help with the costs. How do I know about this business? I used to work for a company which purchased some safety equipment from them. Through working together, I saw the first hand how much passion Kevin puts into his work, how honest and client-oriented his business is. I still work with Kevin here and there, as my business is somewhat related to vehicle modifications. I feel it makes this review even more valuable, as I have seen him in action not just as his customer, but also as a fortunate enough person to share business with a great specialist he is. One last thing... Kevin is confined to a wheelchair himself. Enough said.

I have lived with chronic (level 10) pain each and every day since that time. I had referrals for cortisone injections in multiple injury sites and the results were extremely short-lived. At one point I also had an Epidural injection in my lower back and that too did not last. My medical practitioner sent a referral to VIVO CURA CLINIC on an "URGENT" basis. They responded back to the practitioner requiring more information though my practitioner sent very detailed reports to them. I was told that I am on a minimum 5-months or longer triage list just to get seen by anyone at VIVO CURA CLINIC for an assessment. Not a treatment, just an assessment. I found out several months later that the so-called specialists at VIVO CURA CLINIC had determined my case (multiple injury sites with level 10 pain daily) WAS NOT URGENT! IMPORTANT NOTE: the doctors at VIVO CURA CLINIC made this determination without even seeing AND examining me in person - in my opinion sheer incompetence. I called their offices (left voicemail messages to call me back) and sent several emails for which none of them were ever responded to. Again extremely unprofessional and sheer incompetence. I called again approximately a month later and demanded to speak to a supervisor. During that conversation I was told that they DO NOT TALK to the patients directly. They strictly communicate with the referring medical practitioner only. Any person who suffers severe chronic pain on a daily basis wants to get treatment as soon as possible to get out of pain; do they not? I sure do. I have previously worked in the health care field for over 23-years (including the operating room in the hospital), and have actively worked in the legal field for 25-years; my father was a doctor. Never in my wildest dreams could I ever imagine treating a potential patient this way!!! VIVO CURA CLINIC'S staff is extremely unprofessional, lacks communication skills all around, and most importantly makes a medical determination of a patient without even seeing them first. I CAUTION anyone who wants to consider going to VIVO CURA CLINIC (Calgary) for any type of TX. Thankfully, I researched other clinics who perform the same and/or similar services. I am truly grateful that I found Divergent Health Care. In two treatments alone I am walking without the use of my cane. I previously had a walker then progressed to a cane over the past 15-months. And guess what? When I called Divergent Health Care I got an appointment immediately and started my treatments that week.

This was about as bittter-sweet an experience as I've ever had in the world of medical services…read more On the bright side (with a little prodding and a doctor's expression of urgency) I was able to get an appointment on about 4 days notice, and on a Sunday no less! Once I got inside, all the tests I had ordered were done within less than 10 minutes, and they had me on my way. This lab even has a walk-in service if you really can't wait for an appointment. The location is also very convenient, located just across the parking lot from Sunridge Mall (to the north, past the Petro Can) which makes it a quick and easy walk from the train. It really seems designed to be as available as possible. Now, the downsides. Problem is, there are many. You know on American sitcoms how they're always making jokes about the DMV? I've always told my American friends how we up here seem to have it good in that department, as I've never had to spend more than about a half hour in a vehicle registry office. If I were to pick the closest comparrison I've seen to this phenomenon, it was the Sunridge lab. My appointment was set for 3:00, and I planned for extra travel time so I arrived at about quarter after 2. Seeing as there was a seperate line-up for patients with appointments as opposed to walk-ins, and there was NOBODY in the appointment lines I was thinking "Great, maybe I'll get in early!" ...not a chance. In fact, for my 3:00 appointment, I was left waiting until almost 3:30, standing out in the waiting room because the place was so utterly packed with walk-ins, there was hardly even any standing room, let alone an actual seat. There were people with terrible body odour, crying babies, people coughing and sneezing up a storm... I got so fed up I ended up spending most of my wait outside just to keep from completely losing my mind. I also wouldn't suggest going down without an appointment unless you REALLY need your tests done that day. The upside is, as long as you arrive before closing time, you're guarenteed to be seen, but when I arrived at shortly after 2:00 on Sunday (which should, by all rights, be a slow day) walk-in patients arriving at the same time were being told they could be waiting up to 4 and a half hours. Yes, you read that right... the wait time for a 5-10 minute visit was up to 4 and a half hours.... on a SUNDAY. Four and a half hours surrounded by coughing, smelly, loud, cramped people. It seriously looked like a scene out of a disaster movie where they have the sick masses packed into a tiny quarentined building. All in all, it's great to have a lab that's easy to find, available on weekends, and able to book appointments fairly short-notice, but I think I'd almost rather wait and risk ending up in emergency than show up on a walk-in basis and have to spend any significant ammount of time in this DMV joke with sick people.
