Now it has to be said that I have eaten my share and probably other peoples share too of French toastbut NEVER and I mean NEVER have I had such a well cooked, beautifully presented and tasty Toast in all my life, good bread, lovely bacon and just enough cinnamon and maple syrup to make me very very happy!Service was polite and friendly and lovely.. smiley staff, amazing food, well priced..I cant wait to go again! read more

Small, cramped cafe with poor service and not accomadating to young children. Babies expected to drink from large adult glasses, which is dangerous. I Did puplish an honest unbiased account of my experience at this cafe but as other reviewers have made personal insults towards myself and my children I have removed and reported them. If you have a bad experience here be warned before posting!! read more

I had an all day breakfast, bacon was like rubber toast was slightly warm bread hardly even coloured after toasting when I mentioned it the waiter said "That's how the toast is done in here". The missus had a baked potato which was cold in the middle. I'm a great believer in not judging a place by one bad experience, but this wasn't the first bad experience.

I got a spicy one with jalapeños, it wasn't over the top with heat.. it was just right.. and then I got pancakes with maple syrup for after.. it was dusted with icing sugar and tasted great.. I'll definitely go back again the next time I'm in that neck of the woods..

I am a regular at this cafe bistro and find it a wonderful relaxing place to enjoy the wonderful cuisine or to relax and read the paper or listen to the music. The staff there are all wonderful! The above review describes customer behaviours which are in no way conducive to the envirnoment of this cosy, freindly bistro. Children not drinking from a glass or eating off a plate whillst screeching at the top of their lungs in public needing musical entertainment from a mobile phone should be spending their time in a creche or at home rather than a restaurant. Customers of Mayenne (including myself) I am sure will be pleased that the above reviewer will not be visiting the restaurant again. read more

Great food, service and value for money! Every year or so I travel to Devizes from London to meet up with 5 old school friends. We usually go to a pub but I happened to notice this place at the last moment, I`m so glad I did! Fast friendly service, really good food with plenty of choice for vegetarians ( which half of us were ). The staff made some really good recommendations and were knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish. The cafe itself is really sweet and cosy but what really makes it is the food, generous portions, presented well and for a change actually tasted as good as it looked! We have already decided again to revisit this place next time. Well done Mayenne!!!! read more

Amazing Food, great service, hot coffee, relaxing and cool ambiencecan't wait to return! Try the Indonesian peanut and vegetable curry, a slice of coffee and walnut and a perfectly made cappucinno and you'll be in heaven! My wife had the pasta dish and my children shared a plate of nachos and they were the best eversuch generous portions and everything's home-made! Absulutely brill! Loved it! Food amazing and so generous! It was very busy and tables are fairly close together but this gives it a buzzy and continental atmosphere! Best meal out in ages! So great to have good service AND food in one placereasonably priced too! read more
