It's always a pleasant surprise to find an espresso machine in a small town when road-tripping. Mayberry's is about 2 miles off I-35 on the town square across the street from the one of the most ugly courthouses I've ever seen. The interior is brick with high ceilings and a perfect ambiance for a small town coffee shop. As expected they had sandwiches named after the characters on Mayberry RFD; The Otis, The Barney.... I only ordered a beverage, and it was fine but I have to take a star off for not serving me the correct drink. I asked for a macchiatto -double and asked if they knew how to make it since it wasn't on heir menu board. They said yes and I reminded them 2 shots and a touch of steamed milk - she agreed. I was soon given a full 12 oz cup. I didn't complain, but if you are going to run a coffee shop, you should know your drinks, or at least listen to your customers. Since this is about the only coffee shop between Des Moines and the KC suburbs off I-35, I will return.

It's often hard to find an espresso coffee shop in a really small town but Osceola has an oasis in the middle of Iowa. Lattes are good. Atmosphere is homey with exposed brick, mismatched tables and chairs, and tin ceiling.

Great coffee shop for a small town. Small town feel where the owners know the locals names and drink orders when they walk in the door. We stopped in for a quick breakfast on our way to the train station. They have a great selection of coffee and tea. Homemade muffins and pie with a nice selection of sandwiches for lunch. They also have delicious breakfast bagel sandwiches. If you are driving on I-35 thru Osceola and craving a coffee that didn't come from a C store pull off and stop by.

    lovely place!

Stopped through here on a road trip hoping to support a local business, but once I got inside I saw that only one staff was wearing a mask.

If you go through the main entrance, as soon as your in, Vintage Road coffee Co is on the left passed the front desk. The person working was friendly and greeted me right away. I decided on the hot PSL with pumpkin cream foam on top and I love it! Definitely will be a spot I frequent to grab some quick delicious coffee. Highly recommend to all. Great selection of drinks to choose from. The lovely ladies were helpful and funny. "Did you know whipped cream is only 15 calories? " Had us laughing and adding whipped cream to our drinks. The chocolate chip cookie dough cold brew was fantastic. It was definitely a labor of love to make this delicious jitter inducing Java. It was great that they could bring their trailer right up to the building for easy access to the employees. A beautiful day. I also got to try their blue raspberry lemonade and their lemon poppy seed scone. Overall, I am very happy with the experience. I wanted to get this on Yelp to bring awareness to them and their company. Highly recommend.

When we arrived Donna met us at the car and showed us to our suite. We had the "Room with a View." From the moment we climbed the stairs we were enraptured by the charming attention to detail that made each moment heavenly. From the selection and placement of the books, the choice in classic looking Christmas tree, the bedding, even the window treatments...it all lent to a wonderful sense of tranquility that harkens to a more simple time yet with all of the modern conveniences. There was a pot of piping hot tea waiting for us. What would you expect from a place that also houses a fabulous tearoom? We had arranged for a harvest dinner as well and were told it would be served in our suite at the time of our choosing that evening. Looking out the windows we were taken by the rolling hills of Longview Farms, the field of lavender, the cows in the distance and the "secret garden" that itself appeared to have complete equanimity. We enjoyed our tea near the fireplace and lazily thumbed through cookbooks and tea books on a perfectly placed sofa in quiet repose. Donna and Spenser appeared at the appointed time with our wonderful harvest dinner. It was a spectacle for the senses, bringing exultation to the eyes, nose and mouth. The repast was a mélange of colors, textures and flavors. We also had more amazing tea, of course. After dinner we enjoyed more time by the fire and there was no desire to use the available TV or cell phones. We just wanted to melt into the atmosphere. When our eyes could hold up no more, we moved to the bed, which we hadn't more than seen to that point. The choice of linen and pillows was far better than any hotel. The next morning we were greeted by another sensory feast for breakfast. On checking out we toured the lovely tea room, where they even have charter buses bringing in people on occasion. We'll definitely be back for more tea in the formal setting. Donna and her family were a wonder, everything was so serene and we haven't felt so rested and relaxed. We only wished we didn't have to return to our regular lives.

The food was wonderful, and all made "in house". I've had high tea in London, and she did a great job replicating it here at this quaint place. I'm so glad we thought to order them AFTER our meals came, or I would've eaten the humongous pile as my meal. Delicious! Chicken Wings: they have "the good ranch" and the wings were really good. Dirty Bird: turkey and bacon sandwich, side of coleslaw. All was good. Personally, this sandwich would be awesome with stuffing on it, like a thanksgiving leftovers sammy! It felt slightly...lacking something, but my aunt liked it so that's all that matters. Rueben (forgot pic until half was gone): very good! Perfectly toasted marble rye, french fries piping hot and delicious. Once the fries and Rueben were delivered, that's when we realized we forgot to order the onion rings and ordered those as well. Sirloin & Baked Potato (forgot pic until halfway through my baked potato ): delicious! However, I'm a total sucker for baked potatoes, lots of butter and sour cream. Also, I was so enthralled with the onion rings, I really didn't touch the steak beyond tasting one bite. I did bring it home for my lunch today! So again...let's talk about these amazing onion rings! I love large, hand-battered onion rings, not a huge fan of shoestrings. These hit every mark in my book, and were 100% worth the 45min drive! ‍‍Service was excellent, highly recommend! Sometimes it's just nice to go for a little drive, which we appear to be doing more of lately! All for $75, plus $25 tip was an awesome meal for $100. Very affordable and top quality.
