It's always a pleasant surprise to find an espresso machine in a small town when road-tripping. Mayberry's is about 2 miles off I-35 on the town square across the street from the one of the most ugly courthouses I've ever seen. The interior is brick with high ceilings and a perfect ambiance for a small town coffee shop. As expected they had sandwiches named after the characters on Mayberry RFD; The Otis, The Barney.... I only ordered a beverage, and it was fine but I have to take a star off for not serving me the correct drink. I asked for a macchiatto -double and asked if they knew how to make it since it wasn't on heir menu board. They said yes and I reminded them 2 shots and a touch of steamed milk - she agreed. I was soon given a full 12 oz cup. I didn't complain, but if you are going to run a coffee shop, you should know your drinks, or at least listen to your customers. Since this is about the only coffee shop between Des Moines and the KC suburbs off I-35, I will return. read more

It's often hard to find an espresso coffee shop in a really small town but Osceola has an oasis in the middle of Iowa. Lattes are good. Atmosphere is homey with exposed brick, mismatched tables and chairs, and tin ceiling. read more

Great coffee shop for a small town. Small town feel where the owners know the locals names and drink orders when they walk in the door. We stopped in for a quick breakfast on our way to the train station. They have a great selection of coffee and tea. Homemade muffins and pie with a nice selection of sandwiches for lunch. They also have delicious breakfast bagel sandwiches. If you are driving on I-35 thru Osceola and craving a coffee that didn't come from a C store pull off and stop by. read more

Adorable little coffee shop in Osceola, Ia. Very nice and creative selection of coffees and flavoured drinks, both hot and cold. I had been given to understand that they had a selection of homemade baked goods. They did not. The muffins and bagels looked and tasted like they came from the gas station on the corner. But, the coffee and drinks are very good. One thing that really stood out to me was the fact they don't have WiFi. What cafe doesn't have WiFi??? This a very nice little coffee shop. Let's leave it at that. I would recommend to all coffee lovers. read more

I'm a jersey girl , and i'm use to having a Dunkin' donuts down the street from me . When I moved to Iowa I was disappointed at the options that I had in Osceola. Especially coming from a European family , Coffee is everything ! When Mayberry's opened up , I couldn't wait to try their coffee. I absolutely fell in love ! I probably go there every other day , and Molly knows how to make the coffee just right. They don't just see you like a customer , but they also pay attention to what the regulars enjoy. They also have delicious muffins , that go perfect with your beverage of choice. I highly recommend you stop by and try one of their menu items , you won't regret it. read more

This place provided a great hang out for the morning I was in town. A nice place to get some work done, read a book, etc. The tea, coffee and treats I had were great. THey make much?? ALL? their treats there. I really enjoyed my time and the food. Totally would go back again if we pass through. AND... They have felt on the chair legs so they don't screech across the floor when people move them! YAAAAA!!! Makes for a MUCH more pleasant experience. read more

Stopped through here on a road trip hoping to support a local business, but once I got inside I saw that only one staff was wearing a mask.

I had done a little due diligence before arriving on the train, expecting to be 1-2 hours late as is typically the case with Amtrak, but surprisingly and happily only 30 minutes late in arriving from the west. Fortunately, Mayberry's was there and they were open! Soon after I arrived there, the line for service grew and grew and grew. A very good sign! read more

I stopped here while traveling through during a work week and between my wife and I we pretty much tried a lot of their menu during a day - breakfast bagel, mocha, tea, muffins and lunch chicken caesar salad wrap. It was all very good and we were very impressed with the quality ingredients that were used. This is NOT a prepackaged food and so-so coffee shop. My sister and I visited Osceola for two days while revisiting the childhood summers we had at our grandparents house and other relatives who are no longer with us. We are from WA state so needed COFFEE! We found Mayberrys a delicious delight. The coffee was great but the muffins.....OMGosh the peach is stellar amazing. I honestly don't think I can have another muffin without thinking..."yea it's good but it isn't the Best like Mayberry." Thank you Mayberry for making our visit perfect. read more

Love this place! Great food, espresso coffee and baked goods. Staff is midwestern, small town nice. The perfect place to stop 30 min south of DesMoines. It's a long drive to KC from there. Only a mile or so off I-35 with a park across the street (the town square) and gasoline two blocks away. read more

Mayberry's catered a luncheon for 50 people after a memorial service for my brother. Molly went above and beyond in helping me plan from 1700 miles away. She met our every need and made good recommendations when I was figuring out what we needed. The food was delicious. Mayberry's is the absolute bright spot of Osceola! I have never tried anything there that I didn't love. Everything is made from scratch and they do different things daily! The only way they could make it better would be to open it for dinner...so I wouldn't have to cook. read more
