Dear Ami. C.,
First, we at Maybelle Carter Senior Living would like to say, thank you so much for allowing us to serve your mother, and your family as you said - for almost four years. We truly enjoyed our time with your mother. She was always friendly, and participated in our many activities. In addition, she always encouraged other residents to take part in the fun. I am truly sorry you now feel unhappy at our parting. I would like to share a few thoughts so our readers have a better understanding of the details of your review.
You certainly did continue to pay rent for three months as stated, but just like someone continuing to rent, and hold their apartment while they went out of town for an extended time, one would have to continue payment if they desired to hold their apartment. For us, we were very pleased that you desired to return to Maybelle, and we were glad to continue our relationship, and your Mother's care.
To continue, from a renter's perspective, we do retain the right at any time during a residents stay to enter their rooms to do preventative, and general maintenance. Specifically in this situation, I do regret not giving you a personal call letting you know, that since all of your Mother's furniture, and personal belongings had been removed, and the room being empty for five days, that we had a family in grave need of this room. Our only motivation was to help this new family make an urgent transition to Maybelle so their family member could receive the immediate care she needed, plus too relieve this family's heavy care-stress.
We are very considerate of our resident's privacy and deeply respect the rights of their lease agreement, and we feel that we have proved that for almost four years. Your desire to have your mother come back to Maybelle shows that we had a good working relationship, and respect for one another. Unfortunately the only reason you were moving your mother was because we did not have the requested apartment size for her to move internally to our Assisted Living - which caused you to choose another facility.
I felt the readers of this review should understand what happened. Please know we are very disappointed that one miscommunication would cause you to feel this poorly about us after such a wonderful, and extended relationship together. We at Maybelle Carter Senior Living wish the very best for your mother, and your family and we are hopeful that you will have many more quality years with her!
