This place used to be really good, but unfortunately it seems to have declined slightly of late.
The food isn't all that bad, but is a bit overpriced for what you get. What is worse, however, is the waiting times. Recently I ordered some food for a pick-up. I was told to come in an hour later, which wasn't a problem as it was Friday night so I appreciated that they were busy.
When I arrived, however, I was forced to wait half an hour for my order. Again, this would be understandable as the place was very busy, but when after 15 minutes I mentioned I had been waiting a while to a member of staff (not in an aggressive way I was angry but kept cool and only said what I had to say) I was told, quite abruptly, that the pick-up time I had been given was 'only an estimate'. I have two problems with this:
1) I have never heard this before from any takeaway I have used.
2) If this was the case, why wasn't I told whilst on the phone? Then I would've known what to expect.
I waited a further 15 minutes and recieved my order. Although I was given £2 off the price as an apology for the lateness, this wasn't handed to me by the manager (who was present). The member of staff who told me about the 'estimate' procedure could've made me feel better by saying the magic word 'sorry' in the first place, but instead she attempted to make me feel as if I was in the wrong by merely expecting my food to be ready when it was promised.
I understand that accidents can happen, but what's more important to me is customer service. To be honest, I wouldn't have bothered that much about being made to wait if I had been treated with some respect. read more
