Update after 3 years: She contacted me via Instagram to get the work done at a discount in exchange for social media promotion of her services to my followers. This was my first and only experience w/ Maya but not my first w/ permanent makeup. She got a hug after the first appointment before the healing was done. Weeks later I was left with blotchy lip color. After the touch up, where I expected her to fix the blotchiness from the first appointment, I was left w/ a semi-permanent tattoo that made my lips appear extremely uneven as shown in original photos. I had to use makeup to hide the uneven work done by Maya for about a 2 years until it faded. I currently have my even natural lips back and I am happy. She really made me feel embarrassed of my bare face & smile for over 2 years. It was very unpleasant. Due to the fact that she shared my photo to her Instagram as though I were a happy customer w/ perfect results, I felt the need to write my original review to protect others from wasting $500 and ruining their face. She expected me to share a positive post about her work because she gave me a discount.... Even if she had paid me I couldn't have provided a positive review as it would have been dishonest and harmful to others. I do hope her work is better now. read more

Absolutely LOVE Maya's skill set, patience, and gentle touch. In April of this year she did a top liner correction on me from a previous liner (circa 2015ish) tattoo. My eyes are extremely sensitive but she was so gentle, patient, and her voice so ASMR-ish and calming that she was able to settle my nerves so that I could have the perfect winged top eyeliner. . Fast forward to two weeks before Christmas I text her and say something along the lines of wanting a lip blush using her Q-Lips technique (customized, color mapped, full lip color - liner and all) and she lets me know the price (about $600 to include initial & 4-week post appointment) and tells me she has an early morning (9am) appointment on my day off! Needless to say, I booked and quickly sent her my $100 deposit. The day of the lip blush procedure: I was kind of nervous but still met with her patience, gentleness, and ASMR-ish whispering , soothing, and calming tone. We discussed the color- since I don't traditionally wear lipstick with her guidance I opted for a moderate mauve color with peachy times toward center and lip bow area. The process didn't seem long and parts of it were stinging (think of chapped or sunburnt lips & eating or drinking something acidic- nothing intolerable or too intense) even after multiple rounds of the numbing cream (mostly on my bottom lip). Because of this we took a few more breaks when working on my bottom lip. The top lip had no feeling and numbing cream worked great. The first 2 hours after I went from looking like Big Ang (RIP) to Angelina Jolie () and as the remaining numbness subsided so did the swelling. Her aftercare instructions were to keep clean with a lint free cotton swab and put on the little lubricant she sent me home with (she makes it as it had no label)...so do this 4x day for the first 10 days than transition to Aquaphor until I return for the follow up in 4 weeks where she evaluate my healing process and make touch-ups as needed. read more

The permanent makeup service by Maya was outstanding! This was the follow up to the lip color service to which I had given a 41/2 star. I removed that review but YELP put it back up. There was a glitch in trying to reach her and the Salon and I was upset about it. However, there was nothing wrong with the lip color. Once the glitch was discovered, I received nothing but perfect service!! Maya is a true artist who cares deeply about her clients' happiness and satisfaction. I got my first Q-Lip treatment 10/11/19 and so far couldn't be happier with the results. My lips are looking so much more fuller and vibrant, everyone thinks I got filler!! Quy was extremely gentle and attentive to what I wanted. She has a steady hand and did a great job, my lips look extremely natural when they are healed. I was worried at my first session how it would turn out as you can see in the one photo. This is my first time ever getting permanent makeup and let me tell you it was such an amazing experience. I just wanted a little pop of color on my lips, nothing crazy and maya knew exactly what shade to use on me. The naturalness of the color looks like my lips but better and I love it. I wasn't sure what to expect when I stepped in her salon but she welcomed me with a very warm smile, the room was bright and clean, smelled really good, simple but classy. It made me relaxed, all the nervousness disappeared to her friendly but professional treatment. I've heard the procedures are usually painful but I am tired of waking up everyday looking like a troll, then took the whole hour just to get my face right in order to go to work, so when I heard about her non painful technique, I had to try.
