He is the closest thing you will get to a Dr Welby in his bedside manner, concern, knowledge. He takes the time with you to figure out what is wrong. He has a little trouble with his staff because they are just learning and you may have to wait a little while in the waiting room, BUT it is all worth it because when you are seeing Dr Tanner in the examing room it is all about you. Unfortunately after 4 visits I finally had to leave this office. 4 out of 4 were the same experience: awful.

I moved here from St. Louis and that city has world class health care and I was worried about a lower quality down here. It has not been and this DR and the entire group is spectacular. I walked in one day to see if she had anything open as I was told she accepted walkins. I hadn't been feeling well that week and couldn't wait any longer. To my surprise I walked in and there's no assisting staff. The only person working is the doctor. I filled out all the paper work and she told me to come back. I walked in the room and she asked what was wrong. I told her, she pressed down on my stomach, and told me to go buy some medicine from the shelf at kroger. I got the bill and it was $375.00... It was as simple as pressing down on my stomach, and it was nearly $400. I didn't get my bp checked, my weight taken, or any medical history. Now I can't even get prescriptions filled without going back to the office and getting billed again. I have done my best to find another physician. Best of luck to you and I suggest looking somewhere else...

I advised him that this was unprofessional and unacceptable and walked out only for him to ask for me to give the sample he gave me back, to go pick up my meds he prescribed to find out his office canceled them, and to delay my records to the new PCP I started seeing to further delay me getting my medication for over two months. I will never recommend him or his staff to anyone, not even my worst enemy and report him to the GA board of medicine. People complained of him on reviews but because I never encountered this side of him until 08/2025, now I understand why he has no recent reviews under 6 years that speak highly of him or his staff.
