I have owned my home for 18 years and never missed or was late on my HOA dues. May Management took over this year and my bank account was charged over $5000 for no reason. I have tried calling several times and no one ever picks up or returns my calls. Very shady operation. read more

If I could give a 0, I absolutely would. I have never received such asinine service in my life, the management company that handled our condo complex prior was a dream. Then it transferred hands to May and it went straight down the drain. We've had a broken irrigation system in front of my building for the past 5 months, and in this Florida heat that means ALL our bushes, grass and plants died. Mind you we just paid $4,000 of our own buildings HOA funds to replace all this landscaping last year, and now it's completely a waste, there is no bringing them back. Instead of sending someone to inspect and fix, they have refused to return phone calls, are unresponsive to emails and basically refuse to take any action, despite this neighborhood having TWO separate HOAs, so my building alone pays almost $400/MONTH for this "service", or lack thereof. No one in the entire company cares, I've called corporate I've called the main office, no one. It's absolutely baffling that a company can quite literally be robbing people of their hard earned money and be sooo absolutely aloof when it comes to keeping the neighborhood up & running with said money they're collecting. It's a damn shame they're still in business, this honestly needs to be brought to News 4 Jax's attention so someone in that Org can finally be held responsible for their gross negligence. read more

Wow. Just checked out the reviews for May management because our community in Saw Grass has had such a bad experiences with them. Not surprised to see that they get terrible reviews, averaging one and a half stars. That says it all I guess. we agree with all the many negatives things that are being said. No they never get back to owners. They handle everything with a total lack of professionalism. At a recent board meeting, a homeowner asked why they never respond to calls and messages. One of their executives, Peter I believe name was, said "We don't have to talk to you." Yeah, this bozo really said that. They got to go. read more

Everyone I know hates their HOA's. Good reasons for this begin with May Management. All these years I owned my own home. Took care of it myself. Had good neighbors. They and we took pride in our properties. Then something happened in my life and I needed a change. It was not for the better. I bought property with an HOA. Things were okay for 23 years then the management company fired our HOA-- I suspect for good reasons. We ended up with May. Now I say this...if you're thinking of doing this find out who your new management company will be and Google them. Find out how many stars they have first. Good luck. Private property and good neighborhoods are rare these days. May really just helps themselves. read more

The gate at my community closes at 6pm currently and residents don't have access to get in the community after 6pm. Read that sentence again. I'm serious. That's actually happening. They changed the entry system without notification and nobody has access. May management is acting like it's something they can solve when convenient to get someone out here. I'm actively not leaving my house at night because it's unclear when I might be able to get back in. Could there be a worse management company out there? If I could give a zero, I would. This management company fails every measure of managing associations. We live in a gated community that was well run until the Association Board switched to May Management. Getting a question answered, a problem resolved was and is impossible. Now they are imposing rules on the neighborhood that are neither well thought out or implemented in a responsible manner. They have so screwed up the gate access that residents have a hard time getting guests in and out. Beware!!!! read more

I'm a vendor and my company has done work for the office in St. Augustine, FL and they have promise me we would get paid, now I'm told they are "waiting for a signature" and they won't call the person to sign because she is the owner. We will never work for them again amd I will warn any and every vendor!!! read more

My advice to you if you are in the market for a property management company, or are interested in purchasing your primary residence at a May Management Managed property, stay away, far, far, far away! If I would have known anything about May Management prior to purchasing my condo 3 years ago, I wouldn't have purchased it. The staff changes hands, like I change my clothes, so each time I call their office it's someone new who has no idea what I called about the previous time, nor are any notes kept. I have contacted the "Property Manager" several times between October 2009 and April 2010. I am still waiting for a call back from my original complaint in October. No one seems interested in what I have to say when I call and I always get the same answer, "Let me take your number, and I will call you back." Not the kind of professionalism I'd expect from a Property Management Company. read more

So few folks understand that the Board of Directors is the "boss" and the management company has to follow their direction. If the funds are not there, then repairs can not be made. I've worked with May Management as a board member employing May, as a competitor, and as a consultant. They have every component in place to provide excellent service. Licensed Community Association Managers in the State of Florida remain in the business for only three years! Guess why.... homeowners with unrealistic expectations not understanding the relationship between Board and Management. No one calls the manager saying " thank you so very much for sending me a letter about our dead grass". Yet that is the managers job. Don't kill the messenger! read more

Horrible customer service. I live in one of there communities and there is always something broke! Response time is nonexistent. Trash is always piling up! Our secure gate has been broken for three months. Leaving us vonurable to anyone. Pool is always filthy, grass is cut in such a poor matter that I have John Deer tracks on my patio as if someone was doing donuts in front of my door. I would not recommend buying or renting any condo's that are under this management company. read more

May Management is a joke. Ever since we moved in to our home (that we pay WAY too much for already), we have had nothing but issues. The first night that we moved in, we got a violation for having a moving trailer in our driveway overnight. Then we got a violation for parking on the street IN A CUL DE SAC!!!! Now everyone in the neighborhood just got tow violations for having cars in the street. It was 8:30 PM when they started passing out the violations!!!! So now we can't have visitors? What about the residents that can't fit in your tiny driveways (that you people are too cheap to fix collapsed ones for your residents)? May Management is trash. We pay over $2,300 a month to live in a house that is worth $1,750 at best. Everything in this silly area costs money too. If you have more than 4 people in your household and you all want passes to go to the gym, pools, rec center or simply into your own neighborhood, cough up some more money on top of your overpriced rent. Should we also add that our "gated" community isn't so gated when the gates never work. Either they're shut and you can't get in at night because they're broken, or they gates are open and ready to invite criminals in. This HOA is a joke. This May Management is a joke!! if i could rate them a 0 i would!!! i dont even think they rate that much!!! I leave in Hammock Grove on Kernan Blvd and in this community theres a few member of the board that lives here, they have nothing better to do except harrass people like me and to report every little thing to the board. On my first month here i got a violation noticed in the mail for my vehicle that is parked in front of my drive way. I didnt know that you have to have a parking permit to even park in front of your garage, i fixed that and went got a parking permit for my vehicle. then i recieved another violation notice in the mail that one of of my vehicle ( Hundai)is parked on someone elses drive way. the funny thing is I DONT OWN a hundai car, then another violation notice arrived . because i have my business name printed on the back window of my one vehicle, The violation says that; A Home owner shall show no sign of advertising on the vehicle, so everynight when i get home i would park my vehicle so the back of my Vehicle is facing the garage and cover the sign with cardboard taped with duck tape,, then i woke up at 1am one morning the cardboard is off the vehicle, then my nextdoor neighbor told me that she saw a lady behind the vehicle (the back is facng the garage door) that lady was taking pictures of back of my vehicle. So, i think i am being harassed by the May Management chosen members of the board that lives in the community..So Buyers and Renters beware!! Avoid this community!!! They are bad about enforcing covenant. Trisha Clark was the first CAM and she did nothing to visually see to community. Second one Betty Johnston, she helped cheat during voting of directors. We went to office to see results. The winner name was written in about four times with same signature. Betty wasn't available, so Cathy Cox filled in for her and never called us back. Then the person was Rich Curran, he work ethic were not good. One property were well overgrown in height. They were passed to us by DR Horton. Our checks for 130 homes were payable to May Management. (Only use when payment goes to a bank). Our account started our $1500. They had monthly gifts to Home Depot $200 on us. After leaving them our budget is over $100,000 read more
