I have rented Pontoons from numerous companies but hate to say this one was the worst so far. Let's start with not being able to park on site and having to cross 4 lanes of busy traffic twice. Not the safest practice. Second at the counter there are numerous signs saying dock workers get paid by tips and complimentary tip is 15 to 20%. I never mind tipping when warranted and if really good service I tip over 20%. Every other place I have rented a pontoon at has had staff come to the car and get our stuff and carry to the boat. They also ask if anyone needs help boarding the boat. The boat is clean and actually ready for guests. The individual here just states you're on boat 1 and never assisted or asked anyone anything. The seats in the boat had water pooled on them so had to wiped down prior to anyone sitting down. Luckily, we brought extra towels. We understand you get wet on a boat but for water to be everywhere when just getting on the boat is uncalled for and wasn't professional in any means. It was also comforting to know according to the dock worker that the Pontoon only had 1 battery even though it's supposed to have 2. Since the 2nd one worked other items on the boat it wasn't needed per him but hey here's a bluetooth speaker for you to use if you want music. This also had to be the slowest boat we have ever rented. Having owned my own boats before the Motor was so under powered for the size of the pontoon it was on. To top it all off upon our return the dock worker didn't assist anyone or getting stuff off the boat but did make sure to tells us he accepts Cash, Venmo and other payment options for tips. Really dude? Please promote your tips being warranted by actions. Hate giving a low rating but this experience definitely deserved it.

Price was comparable to other rentals. Not being able to park our vehicles on-site was an inconvenience. Honestly would have chosen a different place had we known that when searching. Pontoon was in rough shape but most rentals are. To be expected. Tip your staff. They work hard. Don't be a cheapskate.

Sun, sand, shopping and good food. You couldn't ask for a better beach party!…read more The boardwalk at Fort Walton Beach near Okaloosa Island is a fun location that opens out onto the beach. There is a kite shop, a gelato shop, several boutiques and restaurants. The bottom area is shaded with several different seating areas. There is a huge parking lot, but it can be really crowded. We have always been able to find a parking space, but sometimes it has been way in the back. There are handicap parking spaces near the front. The pier is located next door. With the beach, ocean and three sand volleyball courts, in the front, and the pier next door you could make a day of it at The Boardwalk. At night, AJs, one of the restaurants, offers live music. Every Wednesday night at nine pm there is a fireworks show shot from the pier. The Boardwalk also offers other events throughout the year.

Now, there is a developed parking area, a mile-long boardwalk with lots of places to rest, walk down to the water, swim, etc. There are signs describing flora and fauna. The park even has a Pavillion large enough for sizable gatherings and events. There is security present and it seems very family friendly. I am impressed. Niceville has grown up. I loved walking the boardwalk and memory lane simultaneously...

There is no playground here for children so this is actually a perfect place for adults. You could bring your kids but, bring their own toys because again no playground here. It is also a perfect place for sightseeing and watching fighter jets practice their flying from Eglin AFB. This is a park I would definitely visit regularly if I lived here. We were also given two reserved parking spots, which was a huge perk -- no scrambling for parking meant one less thing to worry about on party day! Lisa, the community director, was incredibly friendly and helpful when I called to ask about the splash pad. I was relying on it being operational, and although it occasionally has circuit breaker issues, we had no problems that day. The weather was beautiful, the park was clean, and guests also enjoyed the beach -- with stunning views of Crab Island and that signature aqua water. We had such a great experience and would absolutely recommend this spot to others looking for a fun, low-stress location for a kid's party!
