The skin is crispy, but the inside is still moist. And the seasoning is just enough, without killing the taste of chicken. We also had the other fares in the restaurant's menu...and they were all good to my palate! The restaurant is cozy and well appointed. It's as if an interior designer actually worked his magic inside the place...and none of the Max's restaurants I've been to ever looked the same. As for service...top-notch! It's like the service staff know something's up in your mind the minute you turn around...and they're there! All the waiters and waitresses aren't just serving one table...they serve all of them. But my sisters were debating on which group meal to order (from a choice of about 4 groups). Since I was really hungry, and I couldn't stand my sisters' indecisiveness, I called the waiter and ordered 3 of the 4 group meals! There was not enough space on the table to fit all of the food we ordered. And when the last of the food was delivered to our already full table, the waiter told us, "Happy Fiesta!". From that time forward, my sisters, when I visit Manila, make sure I never get my hands on a menu... The service is impeccable! From start to finish, the waiters are always attentive to your needs. They explain the menu items and the way it is prepared...even if you have them repeat it a few times. It does not take long to place the order, to the time it arrives on your table. And the taste is just like homemade cooking...just like grandma cooked for us! The price is a steal, especially the group meals that serve from 4 to 6 people. I just love the place. My compliments to the staff, the cooks and the establishment for maintaining the quality and standards of the place!

To start your meal with a kick, you order the Chili Cheese Sticks for appetizer; you know that their crab rice goes well with almost every grilled dish on the menu (the liempo is the obvious choice, but take the tuna belly if you're health conscious), even more with the Garlic Adobo Shreds (my favorite!). And no Gerry's Grill lunch or dinner (or drinking session) is ever complete without their famous Sizzling Sisig (the tuna version is good too!). Pinoys are so at home with Gerry's Grill that even with new restaurants popping up in the metro, it remains as one of the places that people love going to, whether it's to have lunch with the family, or share a few drinks with friends.

Seats for dine-in were available both inside and out and the lighting really helped making it stand out at night. Grass and walkway added an interesting touch to the vibe as well. FOOD Brother Burger is my all-time favorite choice in their menu, especially when I can't make up my mind and prefer something simple yet delicious. This one didn't fail at this last visit and the scent of the meaty burger was very inviting! They can't go wrong preparing this burger and they never have so far. But moving away from the simple, I also decided to try the Ranchero with soft bacon, fragrant barbecue sauce, and the same delicious pattie. It was mind-blowing and I still enjoyed it after eating its onion ring on the side! Onion Rings were super good and I really loved every crunchy bite! SERVICE Considering that we ordered ahead, the other table got their orders before us. My only benefit of the doubt is that their orders were easier to prepare. I hope it had nothing to do with the queue of the order slips, but it was just a minor thing anyway.

Reasonably priced with a small yet complete menu, this restaurant is great to enjoy home-cooked filipino food with a nice cold local beer. The flavor profile for Bulalo and Binakol was really subtle- and not at all impressive. The grilled fish was actually pretty good. Garlic or plain white rice is ordered separately, and I recommend garlic if you are eating dry food. We didn't stick around for desert.. but they do offer a pretty good selection.
