I have been a fan of Max's Fried Chicken and I always look forward to eating the best-selling dish in its menu, what else, but its juicy and crispy fried chicken!
Dining at Max's is always a celebration. We've been to this Filipino restaurant recently to celebrate Mother's Day. I've been to a couple of child christenings and the reception of choice is always Max's. There was also a time when we I had a get-together with my BFFs and we spent hours of catching up right there at "the house that fried chicken built." Well, actually, we have been to Max's for anniversaries, monthsaries and countless other made-up celebrations.
My favorite is the Fiesta Meal where I get to enjoy a quarter of my favorite fried chicken, Fresh Lumpiang Ubod together with a cup of rice then finish it off with a caramel bar. My husband would always order his favorite Kare-Kare and I would help him finish a bowl of ox tail and ox tripe mixed with rich peanut sauce and vegetables that is actually a serving for three persons. We would sometimes get Chopseuy and I love that it comes with chicken liver and gizzard.
Having a sweet tooth, I'm so glad that Max's has its own Corner Bakery where I get to buy a box of caramel bars, a favorite in our household. A box of 18 caramel bars would only last a couple days at home because both the young and the old can't resist on munching those sweet treats. I think that it is worth mentioning that Max's has party-worthy and mouthwatering cakes in their Corner Bakery. The Choco Meringue Delight was a hit at my son's birthday party and we all couldn't stop eating until we finished the whole cake! That's how good it is. read more
