When the three man crew arrived and introduced themselves and the supervisor outlined what they would be doing and when they expected to complete the job. The supervisor, Efrain, and Salvador and Eddie gave me confidence I was in great hands. Now this is something you hardly ever hear anyone say anymore; but I have never seen three men work so hard and professionally as those three did. Efrain kept me totally abreast of the progress with before and after videos. I know I have restricted myself in the past to restaurant reviews as my wife and I are foodies. I contacted Joel in February for a simple project on fixing some steps. He showed up and quoted the project and asked for a $500 down payment for materials. In March, I sent him a check. He said he was behind on it on April 8 bc of rain. April 24, I asked for an update and he told me he had been sick with Covid but would get to it soon. April 27, he actually stopped at the house to look at the project while I was there and we talked about him starting soon. May 11, I asked for an update. He told me he had been in the hospital for a different accident and would have someone do the project for him and it would be done by Memorial Day weekend. Right before Memorial Day weekend, I texted him again as no one had been to the house. He said they would get to it. On May 28, I told him I wanted my money back. He agreed to that and said he would send it soon. On June 17, I asked about the status with no response. On July 2, I sent him another text about it. On July 3, he said he was having a difficult time and he would get it to me soon. Never heard from him or my money again.
