Jasmine H. is my son's in home speech therapist. We have only been with her for a short while, but I am already seeing improvement on my almost 2 year old! Words cannot express my gratitude for being paired with Tonya Nicosia through Maxima Therapy. My family is forever indebted to Tonya! She is incredibly knowledgeable and skilled in Physical Therapy. I would even consider calling it a miracle our daughter is mobile. When Tonya got us, my daughter was 18months old and couldn't hold her head up. We were, at that time, practicing rotations to prevent pressure sores. You can imagine how elated we feel now that our child has PULLED TO STAND! Yes, she is crawling, knee walking, and now cruising on the couch at 3 years old, and it is literally all thanks to Tonya and her knowledge. For as long as we were with Tonya, she never stopped studying, researching, and consulting with others for the benefit of our girl. This is a thearpy company for OT, PT and child development. All od thr thearpists are professional and really good with my kids. I appreciate how they communicate with me and how well thwy work with my children. I highly recommend it. My therapist Elisa is so good. She tailors her treatment is to her client. She is knowlegable and kind. Elisa respects my home and my family. I also had a previous thearpist for my older daughter Charlene who was also very good and I saw a great deal of growth in my daughter from their sessions. I would absolutely recommend Maxima. My son just turned 3 so we lost our Maxima and had to shift to ABA and I'm so sad every day. Literally tried to google "therapists like Maxima for older kids". My child literally still says "Monica?" When there's a knock at the door thinking his friend is back and it's so sad because he doesn't fully understand that she's busy helping other little kiddos now! Monica and Cassidy our Child Development therapists became part of the family. I leaned on them for advice and they truly got to the heart of my son's needs and connected with him in a way that only truly skilled therapists could. The fact that we had TWO is just heavenly. Hannah our OT, imagine Maria from the sound of music but with an exercise ball. Truly somehow got more language out of my kiddo quicker than anyone and really did teach us the physical needs of his to get him regulated and fully changed his entire routine that we still hold to! Olivia was his speech therapist and they always seemed to have so much fun! Before we got off the in person waiting list and got Olivia we were on zoom for months with Alyson and while my kid had issues with zoom, he was just too young she worked overtime to help us and him and get us where we needed to be. Her and Monica really were the two that taught us as parents how to fight for our kiddo and what his needs were and helped us get the OT at all! She always did her homework and made sure to incorporate special exercises into his speech sessions so that his sensory needs were met and he could focus on talking. She quickly identified several strategies I could implement immediately and we began to see such a change in my son's communication.  Not only did Adrianne provide helpful tips and resources for verbal language,  but she also became an amazing soundboard for dealing with social situations and suggested various ways my son may be able to communicate in a verbal or nonverbal way.  My son loved playing with Adrianne every week and was disappointed when his time came to an end recently as he turned 3. He had a previous speech therapist with another company, and during sessions she would spend more time talking to me than actually working with him. With Sasha, the connection was immediate. My son felt comfortable with her right away. And she lets me know different things that I can work with him on. She gives me a brief summary of how his therapies go.
