I went in to get my plugs changed out to try and get better mileage. Then I also wanted to get the resonator fixed. The resonator was the last item I needed fixed. Price had gone up from when I was told about it . But that happens when you get more urgent things to repair. They drove me home and picked me up when it was done. Just so I wasn't soothers for hours getting the work done. Overall it was a very positive experience. They were very accommodating, called on a Monday, got me in the next day. I did grab one wrong (winter) tire, one of their employees drove over to exchange for the correct one. Got this all done in a timely manner. Then next day my check engine came on and when I looked they left a filter just sitting on my engine. Drove back over and they took me in straight away and put the filter back. Will go back and will recommend! read more

I had gone to this shop for a couple years , but my most recent visit makes me rethink my other interactions. I had to bring my car back mulitple times to get wheel berrings fixed. They fixed one at a time and assured it was fixed when it clearly wasn't, there was more noise. They then take it in to find the origin of the sound and tell me they took my brakes off to check, without my consent. They fix the issue finally, but they returned my car with very spongey brakes. I brought it right back and they said it was my fault because I replaced my own brakes and would be 800 dollars to repair. Brakes worked fine when I worked on them boys, learn how to admit you made a mistake. read more

When my mechanic retired, I made an appointment to get a small issue fixed here. Instead, my auto was inspected and I was presented with a laundry list of issues and an estimated repair bill of $5k. I promptly took my car to another mechanic, who has kept it safely on the road for 20% of the estimated cost (which is in line with the repairs and timeline provided by my original mechanic). Stay far away crooks! I wrote a review on Google, Marco the owner responded by basically saying I was lying.. no apology just arrogance and denial. Here is my review of these rip off artists who have lots of bad reviews go read em. Changed 8 spark plugs, one plug was blown and needed a heli coil. $1200+ . What can't be you say? Yes $55 parts and $1200 labor for what should be 1 to 1.5 hrs max labor. Absolute crooks! [Marco's response you can read on google, it is a killer response for someone who wants to drive customers away ...who would do business with someone like this?] [My response to Marco]. Just read your Response...difficult to forget you say, eh? When I was there both guys behind the counter said you do heli coil replacements all the time for Wpg Post Office vehicles which have the same engine as one I brought in. Scratch a liar catch a thief...you didn't rip me off, you ripped a off a non profit organization that uses that van to help the poor in Winnipeg...ringing any bells now? If you had just responded with an apology I would have let it go, but no you responded with the same arrogant attitude when I asked how it could be $1200+? HUGE THANKS TO MARCOS & HIS STAFF. I emailed Marcos a quote from Midas and being the experienced mechanic he is, he immediately questioned the report and charges. Amazing that that 3 other mechanics I consulted didn't even bother to do that! Rather than taking what Midas' report at face-value, he told me he would take a look my vehicle (Nissan Altima) at no charge. He looked at my car within 20 minutes he came out and told me the issue - saved me $1000 compared to what Midas was quoting and they didn't even nail the correct problem. He even took the time to take me to the garage and take a peek under the hood! He presented all the charges up front and broke down the cost for labour/parts. I got my car back on the SAME DAY. Marcos is my go-to mechanic. I moved to Winnipeg and it's been a struggle finding an honest mechanic. He has my business going forward!!! read more

Not a place I would recommend!! I spent 3000$ on headers an exuast! First off they put wrong gaskets on an had exuast leaks day I got my truck back!! Took over a month for it to be fixed from them!! An again few short months later leaks an rusted tips from low end materials!! They were very rude an not caring for there customers an how much they spent! I have been to this shop on a few occasions, all of them through groupon. I have had good experiences before but this last time I had a groupon for an oil change and inspection. I told them when I dropped off my car that I was about to take it on a long road trip and would they do a thorough inspection and he said Yes. I knew one of the headlights was burnt out so I knew I would have to pay for this. When I called to see how much the bill was, he said there was nothing wrong. I told him my front headlight was burnt out and he told me the guys checked it out and didn't find that. I picked it up after the shop was closed and sure enough, the light was out. The checklist they left for me also had the light inspection checked off. This makes me not trust that the shop is doing the jobs they say they are, that we are paying for. All the guy needed to do after I told him about the lights was to go and double check, yet he did not. Disappointed and probably no longer recommended:( read more
