I found Max on Groupon and I am glad that I did. 35 minutes is a long drive, but it was definitely worth it. I showed him a picture of what I wanted, and even though he couldn't get it as light as the picture, it was pretty freaking close. I am amazed at how bright my red is because it's exactly how I wanted. I also like that he doesn't talk your ear off the whole time, but he is still very friendly. If you are having second thoughts, don't!! He knows what he is doing and I will recommend him to everyone I know. read more

Been seeing Max for a little over two years now. I have always dreaded going to a salon as they cut and style what they want and rarely listen to what YOU want. Well I have found my Rockstar Hair stylist!!!! He is so nice and He LISTENS, he doesn't try to take off more than you want and he always get my color spot on. When you come into his salon your ears are greeted with fabulous music, your eyes are busy reading all the CDs and vinyls he has on his walls and He has plenty of big mirrors to see what he is doing to your hair and if you don't want to watch the magic happen you can watch the TV he always has on as well. Max is a hair color guru! I am always happy when he does my hair, always. Naturally, I am a dark brunette and he transformed me into a beautiful blonde for a little over a year (something I've always wanted to do). I went back to see him so that he can make me a brunette again, and just fell head over heels with the beautiful shade of brown he mixed up. I love my hair color. He's such a great stylist and really puts meaning in customer service. Born with thick curly hair that you could lose your brush in, is a challenge to tame, and difficult to find someone who is willing to work on it and not huff and puff though it. I have been everywhere in the Las Vegas Valley with different stylists, who never really listens and never gives me exactly what I want. I usually take off a day from work to get it done, taking 7 to 4 hours of sitting in a chair. So I looked everywhere, even in Henderson, when I saw reviews on Max and decided to give him a try. Just yesterday, I walked in with dry, frizzy hair with too many shades of color, and after just two and a half hours, I've got the honey-blonde locks I was looking for. My hair feels AMAZING, and I can't stop touching my head even now. My other half loved it who over the years has seen the damage other stylists have done. Max recommended a hydrating shampoo and conditioner that I can't wait to try. I recommended him to some people at work, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they look like after he works on them. I showed him a picture that I liked of a hairstyle and he found a way to cut my hair so it captured the spirit of the picture but also fit what I had to work with. Super cute hair cut! Even 7 weeks later, I am still getting compliments. I had two bad cuts before finding Max and I decided to give him a try because of all the good yelp reviews. Appointment was easy. I texted him and he was prompt in responding. When he had an earlier time come up, I moved into that spot. He was a few minutes late for our appointment and was apologetic. (The last stylist I went to, I walked out after 30 minutes of waiting and no one bothering to tell me what was going on.) He is the type of person who won't flake on you. So, Max has a spot inside of the Body Spa, which shares a parking lot (sort of) with Lifetime Fitness. The Body Spa is in a former commercial strip mall, where I imagine a sad person used to do data entry. But because the space is so amazingly large, you can get almost any beauty service there-massages, facials, waxing, etc. Max did an amazing job and cut my hair in such a way that as it grows out, it maintains a cute look. He has an ipad to accept payment right there at his station. Organized, responsive, and an artist. What more can you ask for? Have my next appointment scheduled. read more

I chanced upon Maxed Out Hair when looking for a new stylist recently. I had no trouble scheduling the appointment, and even got a text reminder! Max's studio is decorated with music memorabilia, record albums, etc. We like the same music, so we listened to some tunes as he did my hair..that was great. I even found out about a few new bands to listen too. As for my hair, it was the least painful hair experience I've ever had. I had full highlights, cut and style.. I moved to Henderson last year after coming back from to the States from 6 years abroad. As I used to travel for living I have had my hair cut and colored everywhere and like most women always came home unhappy with the results ;) My cousin who lives here recommended Max.... EUREKA!! Do you know how difficult it is to find a good stylist who can master both cut and color? Almost impossible! In NY I went to two separate people ... With Max two birds!! I moved to Vegas 5 years ago, and have tried a number of different salons for color. I have been told my hair wouldn't "take" the color, or that it was difficult to get the right color without several sessions, etc. I kept looking for someone to get it right for me. Somehow I was lucky enough to get Max for my stylist. He listened carefully to what I wanted, told me he understood, and Damn, he was right! This guy is awesome!
