It's really awesome that we finally have a proper burger place in Uppsala, it's long overdue. We went in here today on the premiere and it was of course packed with people but we got our food fast and the line moved in a reasonable speed as well. I ordered the Phil's burger with bacon which came with fries and coleslaw, I also took a soda putting the price at around 130:- which is a bit over the top for a lunch, but it was definitely worth the money. The burger had the most amazing flavor and all of the condiments fit it perfectly. I'd dare saying it was almost orgasmic. The coleslaw was (unfortunately) awful and the fries were cold when they came out. I hope that isn't the case when they get settled in. I have a feeling I'll be a regular at Phil's and can't wait to see how they develop and grow over time.

(Review Written on the 15th of June 2017)…read more I was born and raised an American citizen. I grew up in a farm town and spent my time playing baseball and lived next to a hunting ground, I know what being American means. And by jove this restaurant serves some of the most authentic American burgers I've ever tried here in Sweden. The meat was fresh, the cheese was real, and the french fries were just crunchy enough on the outside, yet soft and potato-y on the inside. The atmosphere of the open kitchen gives off the feeling of the American spirit of efficiency, yet still holding the quality of a gourmet burger. However, I think personally that the place could use a makeover, as it feels a bit bland and almost childish with the brightly colored chairs and tables which feel sort of out of place with the blank white walls surrounding the dining area. The buns on the burger could have also been a bit softer. It is difficult to achieve the perfect bun, crunchy around the edges but soft in the middle, and I would say the burger did reach the gourmet level, the only part I did not think really made it was the buns. Maybe it was just the time of day I got here but, just keep in mind Dylan. Work your buns.

There is also plenty of seating and its location is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the main terminal area. Nice place to sit and sip a cup of coffee. They have a build your own salad bar, where you choose your base (kale, romaine, Asian slaw or African split pea salads), then add a protein (chicken, steak, smoked salmon or falafel) then two other topping, like vegetables, cheeses, beans or seeds. Additional toppings are about 1.50 USD extra but not needed, as their portions are very generous. All in all fresh, gluten-free and vegan friendly.

They are actually raising the standard of what is offered at the airport. The coffee is pretty good, using beans from micro roaster Haugaard, and they beat most of the other competition at Arlanda but the coffee offering is actually starting to be pretty good now with Johan and Nyström in Terminal 2 and 4, RC Chocolat at Sky City and in Terminal 5 as well as espresso House at arrivals in Terminal 5. The coffee here is good and while the espresso based beverages can vary a bit in quality the batch brew is good and they do offer free refills as well. Chocolates are of course also good but I will also strongly recommend the croissants as well as the fresh juices and ice cream.

This was a great NY-themed restaurant in the middle of Uppsala, a bit too upscale for my budget,…read morebut my colleagues wanted to have dinner here so I didn't have much of a choice. Their burgers and fries looked delicious and cost around $30 each. I ordered a $13 brownie with vanilla ice cream, which - at first - seems like a small portion. It was surprisingly flavorful and not too sweet. I probably wouldn't pay for another $13 brownie during my stay here, but if you're willing to splurge for good dessert - this is the place to do it. The waitress was very nice and accommodating to my group. She didn't have any problems splitting the check and distributing individual checks. The only downside was that she didn't check-up on our table that much during the meal, so waiting for a check took longer than expected. Personally, I wasn't bothered by it; in some European countries, it's rude for waiters to rush their patrons. I just wasn't sure if this was part of the Swedish culture or the waitress herself.

This is obviously a good sign that they are doing something good, but i wanted to go hardcore so i went to the crime scene where it all started in the truck. The menu offers you double or single burgers, fries and sodas. I went with burger only and added bacon for the taste. It took about 10-15 minutes to get the burger and it was nicely wrapped in a anonymous paper. We sat down by one of their tables on the hard court and started indulging the masterpiece. Burger was tasty and flavory and fell apart easily as you took a bite. The brioche bread was lightly toasted and complemented the patty very good. I had the Pacific which also adds avocado and pico the gallo which was a nice addition to the overall impression. Extra bacon was also crispy just the way i wanted. This is a good if not a great burger. Pricing is very reasonable for the segment, but you wont dine in a sassy environment, at least not at this location. So if you like burgers, this is definitely one of the must tries, and you cant settle until you give it your own opinion.

I had the cowboy which was awesome. Do not go around 12-13 or you'll wait a while for your burger, but it's just more proof that it's done to order. The burger was not greasy at all and you could tell it was fresh hand pressed meat. The biggest negative was that I could easily need two burgers to be full. That and they don't do fries, just bags of potato chips. But all in all I will definitely go back, and often to Dylan's!
