Smh The kind of non-service that I received yesterday ruined my Mom's 60th birthday party... I DEALT with Max who told me repeatedly after being in contact for months that I wouldn't be able to make a reservation for simply 8 tables and 50 to 60 chairs. We would have tables I promise .... He said ..I asked ample amount of times if I could leave my credit card on file so that when my guy or someone with a truck come by and pick up the tables and chairs there wouldn't be any BS...delivery charge is ridiculous for a few more miles...in Lombard ...I was told by Max- no just pay when you pick up... We don't take reservations or prepay... Then, Charge my card when chairs are ready for pickup. I knew that I wouldn't be able to stop setting up the party and doing what I was doing go to pay... J got there and called me and said they don't have me on the reservation... I explained the situation with the guy at first in a calm manner. But after feeling like I was speaking to a machine... For him to tell me in what verbatim - In what world do you rent anything without a card. You are not buying these tables and chairs... we don't do walk ins.... you need a reservation cause we need to ensure our customers who reserved have what they need ... I just wanted to speak to the owner =MAXX or at least get him on the phone so he could explain to these people on what we talked about. He is OFF today... When you own a business and there is a Bigger issue the owner or manager on call if it goes over the Employee experience. If they care about their business... They were recommended to me by a friend and overall the rental process was fine, bounce house showed up on time and was taken down when we were done- no issues there. Like others have mentioned in their reviews, we discovered fraudulent charges on our credit card a few days after the event. When I called the owner to confront him, he hung up on me. Luckily our bank blocked the charges but use them at your own risk. This seems like a pattern with them dating back years. Too bad. read more

I recently rented a bounce house from MaxInflables. I had no concerns with the bounce house itself, however my concerns began a couple of days after the event. When I first called to reserve the bounce house, I spoke to a young man over the phone. I gave my $40 deposit over the phone by giving him my credit card info... Fast forward a couple days later and I now have fraudulent activity on the same credit card. I called them to ask about their credit card security however I was really disappointed and dissatisfied with their response. I'm assuming I spoke to the owner as he never really introduced himself. He went on to tell me about his concerns with credit cards and told me that he looses a lot of money every year because people cancel credit card transactions on him! He then told me I should just call the bank and that the bank will get rid of the charges for me. I told him I wasn't calling for info on how to deal with the matter but rather calling him so he is aware of a potential problem within his business. I told him I didn't have proof that MaxInflables was responsible for the charges but that I found the situation very suspicious. I asked who takes the credit card info besides himself and he said that his sons also take the info. I really wanted him to say that he was going to look into the matter but he never did. He never even asked my name. My concerns were handled in a very unprofessional manner. As a customer, you should always feel like your information is safe and secure. I shouldn't have to spend my morning canceling credit cards and calling for answers. Next step is to file a police report against the charges in order to get more information; there goes my afternoon. Overall a very frustrating, upsetting and disappointing experience. Like I said before, I have no current proof that the charges were made by them however I wasn't made to feel like it wasn't them. Safe to say I will not be using their services again. We rented chairs and tables for my sons birthday party. The next day we dropped off the chairs and they said we were missing 2 chairs and they did not even count how many they gave us when we picked them up. The next day they called us asking us to pay for the two missing chairs that they never gave us. They kept calling and calling. Just so you know, count what they give you because they will not stop harassing you even though it was their fault. $15 per chair missing. read more

Terrible! Disgusting! Sickening! The delivery men set up the bouncy house and there was a dead rat in it! No words can describe the TERRIBLE smell! A few kids even threw up! I called them back immediately to complain but it seemed like they didnt care! When they finally came back and set up a new bouncy house, they said that they will refund me $40 when they come back to pick it up. The pick up was scheduled at 10pm but they never came. I finally gave up at 11:30pm and went to bed. I have security cameras, so when I woke up I checked the cameras and saw that they secretly came at 1am and didnt even leave the refund or notify me that they were there. TERRIBLE SERVICE AND EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE! Called during the week to rent 40 chairs for an event on Saturday and was told that no contract was needed. Apparently they would be available for pickup between 11-2pm. We finally arrived at 1:00pm and no one was available. Called their two numbers but no answer. However, I received a text message with their business hours (10am-3pm). I reminded them of what they advised earlier in the week and the only response received was "closed". I called around to many bouncy house businesses looking for an affordable one that carried liability insurance. When I spoke to the person from Maxinflables and specifically asked if they had liability insurance they said yes. To make sure, I also spelled it out and asked if their insurance would cover people who get hurt on their bouncy houses and they said yes again. The morning that our bouncy house was dropped off I was asked to sign a liability waiver acknowledging that I was liable for any injuries on the bounce house, not the company! They should be honest and let people know that upfront, instead of lying about it. At that point it was too late to find another bounce house! read more

They use a personal phone for the company phone so if that person with the number is not at the office you are not getting through to rent anything at all. Never answered with the company name so you already second guessing who you called. The only reason this company received one star is because I couldn't give them less. Everything was subpar at best and made me wish I'd have read the reviews prior to renting from them because it would have saved me a headache. First things first, When dealing with this company prepare to communicate via text, because that is how they conduct most of their business it seems. More then 50% of the equipment they sent me was damaged in one way or the other and being the day of the event left me no choice with nowhere else to go on such short notice on a holiday weekend. The front of the sno come machine was cracked which made it an eyesore, I wasn't given enough cotton candy cones and ended having to make my own out of printer paper, the nacho display was dirty, difficult to open, and kept coming off the hinge, which frankly was embarrassing. When I brought it up to the driver he basically said he couldn't control how things came from the warehouse. When I asked for some kind of discount he called the office and then informed me he was not the owner and the owner does not do that but I was more then welcome to return what I didn't want. Which typically I would have happily have done if we weren't pressed for time, our party wasn't carnival themed, and I wasn't in fear of disappointing 20+ kids. They then forgot to include the scooper for the sno cones and tongs for hot dogs, and after they told me to expect them at 9 that same night didn't show up until early the next morning and proceeded to have my sister look for these items they hadn't delivered to begin with. Heads up if your interested in renting the dunk tank from them make sure you get the exact dimensions so you don't end up having to send it back because it doesn't fit through your gate. They then "accidentally" proceeded to take two of the other rental company's extension cords. Which is funny when they hadn't provided any kind of extension cords or power packs for any of the concession machines they had delivered. Leaving the other company upset, and me responsible for getting them back or risk being charged for them. When I asked them to immediately return the items that did not belong to them I was told they were too busy that day, inconveniencing us yet again in having to pick it up. Bottom line do yourself a favor, read reviews, save yourself a headache and go elsewhere. On Sunday, July 16, our family hosts an event that is bigger than Christmas for all of us. The Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Melrose Park is something we plan for throughout the year. This year, we made a big decision to switch from tables with umbrellas that had been ordering from another rental company to a tent and tables from Maxinflables...BEST IDEA EVER. Best service, best price, best quality tent and tables (they appeared to be brand new), nicest crew and the most comments ever from our guests and I hope they all contact Maxinflables now when they need anything for a party. That did not happen. We called them several times the "owner" answered every time and said he would "call us back" never did. Kept calling him and he kept saying they're close.
