Had a quick bite here one night with friends. I've been to them in Melbourne but my first time…read morehere. There was a few people in here not packed but a decent amount. The food was fresh and enjoyable really but didn't amaze me. They do sell beer and cider so u can have one with your meal in a hot night. Not bad overall I will return.

I was in town and felt like Mexican and I was excited to see a Mexican restaurant has come to…read moreShepparton. First impression as I walked up to it was OMG it is not a regular restaurant but a cross between Chipotle from the USA and Subway minus the bread. You line up, choose from the menu board and add extras as the staff build your mexican choice. I really wanted to sit down, do some work on the lap top and order and to line up, watch exact portions be added to my choice 'Nachos' gave it that subway feel, the portions for a somewhat pricey Nachos were very minimal, the corn chips placed in a heat bar style toaster with cheese melting did not give the feel to the dish and a few condiments added. I must say very tasty, good flavours a good range of sauces. I suggest you consider it is a quick lunch venue which is great but not for a sit down dinner. The seating is adequate with a mixture of chairs, high stools and those annoying 'squat' stools. Staff were friendly for opening week, but again it is a grab and go venue in my opinion.

Birthday dinner for 2 with vegan partner. Service and food was awesome. Seems a big change since…read morethe last review but really could not have faulted anything. Superb wine list, many vegan options that were delicious. Definitely going to sample more menu options next time.

Port 53 Restaurant! Soooo disappointing! Lunch with 13…read moreladies - most of the food very good, but the service! Ugh! I know they were short staffed (as usual) but really...Not even so much that as the petulant attitude of our waitress. Asked twice to turn down the world-shattering screechy music so we could converse. The first time turned down, the up again. The second time was informed by the young lady that our ears would get used to it!!! Eyeballing competition, turned down slightly, then back up again. There were only 2 other diners in the place and no wonder. This is a tourist town, and some of us work in the industry. Guess which restaurant will NOT be recommended to visitors? Also the placing of the long table with one side facing the glaring daylight-couldn't it have been placed sideways for the comfort of the customers? Impossible to see the faces of your opposite numbers. Our group has attended this venue once before when we had an even worse experience. We thought they deserved another chance, but never again. Why accept group bookings when you cannot cater sufficiently? By the way, the lecture about why we were not allowed to have strawberries in our champers - NOT APPRECIATED! Just a hint for staff training......
