Great little butcher shop in a small country town. When we walked in the owner introduced himself and his family and workers and was the type of good old fashioned service that is rarely seen these days. A mate of mine got some snags from here and gave me some to try and they were quite good. We were in Avenal for lunch at banks street pizza which is just across the road and was a great opportunity to stop and grab a few types of snags. I've had the pork and fennel snags which were quite nice. So we grabbed a couple of kg of them and also a kg of the bush banger snags which we were told had a bit of chorizo and chilli in them and when cooked were very nice with out being too spicy. I had message prior to coming to ensure they had the quantity of snags I needed as some guys from work also wanted some and being that we were going to be there late morning and didn't want to miss out. Well worth the trip to grab some quality meat and snags and also spend some time and money in the local area as there are a few places close by to eat and visit. I will be back for some more snags for sure and try some of the other products they produce as a good butcher of is hard to find. read more
