I purchased two rear tires at a Wilmington Delaware Mavis Tire location in mid February 2024. Two days ago while driving home from work I discovered that one of the two tires was flat and I needed roadside assistance. The side wall of the rear driver's side tire was damage and was unrepairable due to a cut or tear that was present. I called Mavis on route 73 in Maple Shade New Jersey and spoke with Mary. I explained my situation and also mention that I still have the paper work and receipt from the original tire purchase and that I live minutes away. She invited me to come to the service center and said "we will do what we can to help you". I entered the retail location and was greeted by Sam. I eventually presented the original papers and receipt from the Initial February purchase. I was originally offered the extended coverage plan for the tire purchase but declined. Mary and Sam told me that they would inspect the damaged tire and asses the situation. Mary and Sam ultimately replaced the damaged tire even though they were quite busy and it was almost closing time. Mary approached me in the customer waiting area and told me that she assessed the damaged tire which she deemed no longer usable and replaced it. She explained that I would not be required to pay for a new tire purchase and that I would just pay for the extended warranty to protect both tires in the event of any future problems as well as the balancing of the new tire and other standard fees that usually apply to a tire disposal fee. Mary and Sam provided me with memorable outstanding customer service and I would definitely come to them going forward for any car needs for which they offer service. I had the absolute best experience at the Mavis on route 73 in Maple shade. Thursday night my 2 son's were getting ready to leave on a trip.. His tire is not holding air and it's a 12-hour drive. I went running into Mavis 15 minutes before they close needing help. I didn't know what else to do. The two gentlemen there we're happy to help. They were able to fix the valve stem so he could be on his way. I felt so bad they ended up being there past closing helping me. They were so kind so helpful. All I could do is sit and apologize for them having to stay late. They didn't have to most people would have turned to me away. Good customer service is hard to find like this. They were getting ready to close but not these two. They were more than happy to help. If you need any work done I would highly recommend checking this location out. My boys got to New Hampshire safe and sound. I can never thank you enough. read more

This place and Mary are amazing! I have a 2016 subaru that the AC was going out. I went in and Mary and her team fixed it. It's old and a mess and they took their time to fix the AC and recharge it. I can't count the issues it had. AC works beautifully, it's so cold, and now me and my kid can finally get through the summer. Worth every dime. Thanks Mary! read more

Purchased 4 65,000 Goodyear tires in 2019. Had 1st sidewall blowout 8/4/23 (36,000 miles in tires). 2nd sidewall blowout 9/10/2023. Mavis acknowledged dry rot the issue and offered to replace 1 tire at cost ($67). I said what about the remaining tires they're clearly unsafe and Joe C (Asst. mgr) told me to take it up with Goodyear. He let me leave on a donut and 2 faulty tires. Mavis clearly doesn't care about safety and do not stand behind the products they sell. read more

Went early to get a screw removed from my tire. I appreciated that they had time to help me. However, just after leaving my 45 minute appointment within an hour my tire was flat again. They also charged for an inspection that the cashier did not mention in the price break down. Went back to get the tire fixed again and waited an hour and a half. The technician also left grease all over my car. Picture attached shows the mess left on the inside of my car, driving wheel, gear shifter, and door. I needed back brakes and rotors and went to Mavis Discount Auto in Maple Shade NJ and they were very hospitable and polite. They Answered all of my questions very thoroughly and showed me exactly what they were working on. They also had a TV in the waiting room and offered me to watch whatever l wanted. Not long after l received y car back and it's running great! The manager and all the employees on shift were wonderful. I recommend this particular Mavis to anyone that needs something done on their car. read more

I typically never leave reviews on anything and I was trying to really hold off on leaving this review but after the experience I've had I guess it needs to be done. The only good thing about the experience is the manager Mary is very empathetic and did try to do to help. However, The overall experience was horrible. The person ahead of me who is making his payment was given a price of 728, then when he was squaring up with the payment he was told it was gonna be over 1000 and that the original person that rang him up for everything and gave him the prices didn't do it correctly. so I guess there was just mistakes being made all over last night because not only did I have to wait almost 4 hours for my tires to be done, I then was told that the person that did my alignment made a mistake and it was off and then he had to redo it again. i'm at least grateful that they were honest about it and redid it, because if the manager hadn't noticed that it was off they would've had me driving out of there with a jacked up alignment . but what really pisses me off is that the two back tires on my car we're in excellent condition and I really wasn't even going to get all four tires but I figured I would just keep the two back as spares since they were damn near perfect. The guy told me he would put a note in the system to leave the tires in my trunk or in the backseat and I stressed at least five times to make sure I got my back tires placed in my car because I was keeping them. The store closes at 8:30 and I understand everybody wants to get out of there and go home including myself. once they brought my car out of the garage I drove off and realized when I got home the tires were never put in my car. I called back today and was told by the manager that they would look for them and now I get a phone call back saying that they don't know what happened to them. they offered me two different brand tires that they had in the back. two different brand tires doesn't help me, I wanted the two tires that were in very good condition that were taken off my car that I mentioned to them a bunch of times. now I get a phone call telling me that they don't know what happened to them and that people come by at night and steal tires so that's probably what happened. Not saying that it's some thing that probably doesn't happen but how convenient that it just so happens to me when I called in asking why my tires weren't put in my car like we went over several times about. i'm not saying that all the stores are bad because I've been to other Mavis stores and had good overall experiences. but this particular store on 73 in Maple Shade need to get their shit together. and spending over $700 and just wanted to make sure that I got my two back tires back since they were literally in great condition but now they somehow magically disappear. Who knows, maybe if they call me and say they found them then I'll take this review down or at least make another positive one . but until then I stand by everything I said read more

This location has a reputation for not being transparent with their customers and not communicating pricing or keeping updates throughout the service process. I have had two family members take their vehicles there for repairs knowing what was needed and their mechanics break additional parts causing the customer to now have to replace additional parts and putting us in a deficit of over 1k. They don't take responsibility for breaking parts and instead try to place blame on the vehicle and make customer pay. I am extremely dissatisfied because not only did they destroy my vehicle but also left me in a position where I had no vehicle to get home or to work for days. Their corporate office is also no help as they did not see the urgency in protecting the consumer but instead to protect the company. Mavis also likes to up-charge for repairs and takes great advantage of women. One of their mechanics expressed to my face that it is not his responsibility to communicate the damage possibilities to customers because he does not work in customer service. Mary the manager does not truly care about the customers because she too defended the mechanic and did not see fit that they communicate to the customer what could happen nor did they get permission to proceed with dismantling the vehicle. This location deserves 0 stars for their unprofessional and lack of customer service approach. read more
