I had a 1:00 pm appointment and I was out in 2 hours. The mechanic carefully worked on my car rather than rushed through the job. Their pricing was very fair and they listened to what I wanted. They showed me the parts after they were removed . I only wish I had discovered this garage sooner. I've been taken advantage as a single mom by mechanics I feel blessed that I finally found my second home with this garage. What a relief!!!

We had a very negative experience recently and won't be returning. Not sure how we could trust them after this... Took our car to hinks as we've done for years for an inspection. Was quoted over $2,750 for repairs necessary to make the car pass inspection. With such a high price tag to fix an older car, we actually considered trading it in for a new car before ultimately deciding to get it fixed. Priced out the parts online and found that with labor, should've been able to get the car repaired for about half the price. Took it to another area garage that confirmed they'd be able to do the repair for $1,200, so we went with that garage. When they went to do the work, we got a call from them and I was expecting bad news and additional repairs / money needed... but they actually told me that they couldn't find any of these major problems with the car. There was only one minor fix needed. Car passed inspection and the inspection and minor repair cost me $125. I was so shocked that I took it to a 3rd garage and asked them to review the issues Hinks had identified and the 3rd garage confirmed they couldn't find any sign of those issues. Feel taken advantage of by a business we've been supporting for years. Would've been taken for a $2,500 ride if we didn't get a second opinion.

I have had less happy experiences with mechanics over the years. OK you're saying gas is gas, take out of pump -put in car-drive away. Simple. BUT in this day and age when it seems like stations raise the price at the drop of a hat then take a LONG time to lower it, This place doesn't. They raise prices slowly and lower them with the market so when they DO put prices up you don't feel like you're getting screwed. This is really important these days. The place is well located and has good hours late in the evening and early in the morning. So why did I scale it down? masks. in 2020 with the amount of, traffic, they get there is a real risk of exposure here but in the work bays, talking to customers and behind the price register? I can count on the fingers of 1 hand the number of times I've seen a mask being worn. I don't know if this is a political statement or a lack of care but in 2020 it is at best unnerving.

Outstanding Service, Honesty, and Genuine Care - The Best Local Shop!…read moreI can't say enough good things about Christian Brothers Automotive. They continuously go above and beyond for their customers. Prompt & Honest Diagnostics: My car had a Check Engine Light, and because driving it wasn't safe, I had it towed to their shop. As soon as it arrived, they called me to gather details, diagnosed the issue (spark plugs), and resolved it quickly at a very reasonable price. Customer-First Advice: When the light came back on the next day, I brought it back. They verified their initial repair was solid, but identified a new issue: a fuel pump failure, which is a known TSB issue on Lexus SUVs. Instead of immediately selling me a expensive repair, Patrick, my service advisor, honestly advised me to check with a dealer first to see if it might be covered under a recall. Saving Time & Money: The local Lexus dealership quoted me $2,300 and mentioned the backordered part would take days to arrive. Disappointed with the dealer, I brought my car straight back to Christian Brothers. Even though the part was on backorder everywhere, their team worked tirelessly to expedite it, kept me informed, and completed the repair for a fraction of the dealer's quote. Unmatched Hospitality: Throughout this whole process, the owner personally provided complimentary shuttle rides to and from the facility. Chatting with him during the ride was a great experience--it shows just how hands-on and dedicated the leadership is. Christian Brothers truly overdelivered to get me back on the road ASAP. I strongly encourage anyone in the community to support them for their automotive needs!

I had a very disappointing experience at Christian Brothers Automotive (Montgomery Mall, 565 DeKalb…read morePike, North Wales). My son brought in our car to have both rear brakes replaced. He provided the parts and was quoted about $300 for labor. The shop only replaced one rear brake, discovered the other caliper was seized, and then reassembled the car without calling us for options. Afterward, they informed him the vehicle was unsafe to drive but still charged the full $300 labor fee -- despite not completing the job. To make matters worse, they didn't even have the caliper in stock, leaving us with no solution. This was unacceptable. The lack of communication, releasing an unsafe car, and charging full price for incomplete work shows poor customer service and questionable business practices. Customers deserve honesty, fair billing, and consideration for safety, none of which we experienced here. Thomas Stevens was very dishonest, stating that we resided out of town on our invoice, when we live 15 minutes away from this location. Here at this location, they consider everyone else's position, but the customer. Their practices are unethical, immoral, and unjustifiable. My recommendation is that you search elsewhere for your automobile services as this franchise is anything but Christian based. I have reached out to the owner and I am waiting on a response. I will update this Post upon hearing from the Owner, Chip Eissler. I'm not sure if they're even recognized by the Better Business Bureau. I will look into it.

WARNING: DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS BUSINESS -- RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL & POSSIBLY RACIST…read moreBEHAVIOR I am writing this review because no one -- and I mean no one -- should have to experience what my family went through at Five Points Gulf Service Center in Blue Bell, PA. This place is a disgrace to the automotive industry, and the owner, Luigi, should not be in business. I brought my son's car in for inspection stickers -- something simple. Luigi kept the car for TWO WEEKS and never did any work. No inspection. No repairs. Not even a phone call. Just silence, excuses, and complete disregard for our time. During that time, my son and I had to share my car -- all while he was preparing for his high school graduation. He had graduation rehearsals, a job to get to, and so did I. This caused real stress and hardship, but Luigi didn't care. He held the car hostage without explanation. When we called for updates, he was rude and nasty every single time. After two weeks of no progress, we went to the shop in person to get answers. What happened next was appalling. As soon as I entered the building -- calmly and respectfully -- Luigi came storming through the door, screaming at me in front of my teenage son. I hadn't even said a word. He yelled, "I'll call you when it's ready!" then shouted, "Take your paperwork and your car and GET OUT!" He was angry, aggressive, and hostile, acting as though I had no right to even be there. To make things worse, his wife was just as rude, cold, and completely unprofessional. Let me be clear: I am an African-American woman, and based on how I was treated -- with open hostility, no provocation, and no professionalism -- I strongly believe this was racially motivated. Luigi spoke to me with a level of disrespect and aggression that made me feel targeted, humiliated, and unsafe. My son watched it all unfold, and it was heartbreaking. Luigi originally quoted $250 for inspection stickers -- yet no service was performed. Just two weeks of delays, verbal abuse, and a total lack of accountability. Even though I feared for my life in that moment, one thing is certain: this will be the last time Luigi ever screams at a Black woman like that without being held accountable. He may have thought he could get away with it -- but not this time. If you are a woman, a person of color, or simply someone who expects to be treated with dignity and respect, then this is not the place for you. I will never go back. I will never recommend this business. And I will make sure everyone I know stays far away from Five Points Gulf Service Center in Blue Bell, PA. There are plenty of honest, respectful mechanics out there. Luigi is not one of them. This shop does not deserve your trust, your time, or your business.

Absolutely whatever you do, DO NOT GO HERE…read more I took my car here for an inspection and it was a huge mistake. I got a call from their tech stating my car did not pass inspection because my front passenger strut was broken and my windshield wipers needed replacing. I advised I would replace my own wipers because they were charging 30 dollars for a single wiper that only cost anywhere between 12 and 17 at the store. He boasted "free installation" and continued to try to pressure me. It is not free installation when you are overcharging for the part. Before deciding to change them myself, I looked up the requirement for windshield wipers in the PA Vehicle Equipment and Inspection Regulations. Turns out this shop did not follow the requirements and did not allow my windshield wipers to complete the full number of cycles required to pass inspection before failing me. I know this because they stupidly sent me a video of the wiper inspection. Regarding my strut; I found it funny that a car only a few years old with 55k miles would need a strut replacement so soon. Michalaks quoted me $1200 over the phone for replacement of the single broken strut. Per my own research, a strut replacement with parts and labor should cost a little more than half of that. Because of their exorbitant prices, I decided to get a second opinion at a different shop. I took it to CJ automotive in Lansdale. CJ automotive inspected my car and advised that there were no broken strut components and no safety concerns that would cause the car to fail inspection. They also advised my windshield wipers passed inspection. Out of curiosity I asked how much it would cost to replace the strut in the future and they advised it would be $716 including tax. 500 dollars less than what Michalaks wanted to charge. Finally, this shop only warranties their work for 2 years/24k miles whereas CJ's warranties for 3 years/36k miles. Do not go here. They are con artists and I have the proof. I had a whole conversation with the man and woman who own the shop. The man was extremely rude and threatening. He got entirely too close to me as a tactic to scare me when I called him out. Rebecca told me I complained because I "have issues with men", I corrected her telling her I don't have problems with men (which is completely inappropriate for her to suggest) but I do have problems with her and her skeevy husband trying to scam people out of their hard earned money. She also gave me a speech about how I'd be lucky to find a man like her husband (no thank you; and again completely inappropriate). She ALSO threatened to scrape the emissions sticker. from the inspection I paid for and passed, off my car. So not only do they try to scam people they also threaten to vandalize vehicles. I will update this review when I have time to summarize the additional conversation I had with them.
