The 2.5 stars should speak for itself. Maverik Mover's is a very unprofessional company. They arrived late to the job, did a very poor job of assessing the needs of my family and providing any feedback on how we can help the process. The company owners wife was very unprofessional as she treated my family very disrespectfully. This company milked the clock the whole time and was very slow. The owner took his shirt off and worked with his pants falling off which was a very unpleasant and unprofessional thing to do in front of my wife and son, especially in front of the new homeowners and their family. After taking many long breaks and spending a total of 5.5 hours working, the company owner billed me for 6 hours. On top of everything they broke some of my stuff (put very light bins on bottoms of stacks and they were destroyed with all the weight). Overall, be warned that this is not a company of quality and respect. I would never recommend anyone us this company. We had a horrible experience with Maverik Movers. Hank scheduled our hot tub move at 11am and did not communicate that they would actually show up at 4pm. When Eli finally showed up, we questioned their tardiness and we did not receive any apology or remorse. They then insisted they were capable and equipped to move this hot tub. They put it on its side, and "left to get more equipment", and that we "had their word they would come back". After two hours passed and no show, we called Hank and Eli (multiple times, as they were not answering) to get an update with what was happening. Hank finally said we were moved to Monday (that was NOT communicated, nor acceptable), so we fired them. I got a text back from Hank stating: "find you someone else". I can't emphasize enough how incredibly unprofessional Hank and Eli were. Terrible experience and do not recommend. read more

Worst professionalism I have ever seen. They were supposed to help us move in 9am this morning. We called several times hey kept saying "we are on the way".... Finally we called them at 10:25am they said they "were on the way". Moving truck needed to be returned at noon and we were on a tight schedule. We cancelled their service immediately. They then send a text message to us " thank you for wasting your time"..... are you kidding me so RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and didn't even bother apologizing for wasting my time. So when I tell you not in ALL my years have I had an experience like this with a "delivery company" like this one. I sold furniture previously in my career, but this is the first time I did business with a furniture company that 100% outsource the deliveries to outside vendors. None the less, I was very specific when I purchased 5K worth of furniture and that is I needed Saturday morning. Fast forward it is now 11:58 pm, the furniture store had to get another company to deliver my furniture that I needed yesterday morning..it is now midnight and still no delivery. I AM FURIOUS, I called the owner Hank yesterday and expressed that I was supposed to be the first stop this morning. He sound as though I was annoying him and very disinterested, he explained they would be picking up the furniture at 11 am so I waited. At 2 pm, he told me they were on their way but had to go back and pick up the second load of deliveries. 5:30 I called him and plainly asked for the number to ANYONE who actually know when I will get my furniture. He texted me his son number, come to find out at 5:45 pm they did not have my furniture on the truck. So I am waiting, for the new delivery service at Midnight and still no word. I believe the most frustrating thing is, I come from a time that if you cannot do something just say you can't do it. I will be happy to find someone who can or purchase furniture from a business that can provide adequate delivery. And they have just pulled up! Amen... 12:10 am. I just had to wait 13 hrs. I hired these folks to move a large piece of furniture I purchased. The price was reasonable. They delivered on time. They dropped off the piece and commenced repairing scratches in our other furniture that they in no way had anything to do with. These guys showed up on time and loaded and unloaded quickly and efficiently. At the same time, they inspected and cleaned our furniture from the storage facility as Oak Ridge Mini Storage in Oakwood has a rat infestation problem. They accommodated all of our many and complicated requests about where to take each item and were cheerful and friendly the whole time. Human tortoises. Called weeks in advance, they said they'd bring the biggest truck there is. Showed up with a U Haul that was too small to fit all of our stuff. It was the biggest they could get "at the last minute." Huh. They four took hours to load the truck with our stuff, eighty percent of which was boxes and some light furniture that I had already moved, by myself, into the garage ten feet in front of the truck. One guy spent half the time talking on the phone. Arriving at the new place they started the same sloth routine. The washing machine was close to fatal for these guys. I told them to just leave the rest in the garage. I never saw them move so fast as they did to just dump my junk and take off. Seven hundred bucks, and I still did most of the work myself. read more

These guys are good people, but not movers. I could have done a better job with a couple of friends, had them a beer and pizza after we were done instead of paying $1000 and almost all my wood stuff either gouged nicked pieces of wood missing and knobs bent etc. To much to even get into as just very frustrated by the experience. Stuff was packed the wrong way is my best guess as my stuff was leaning on one another so that someone had to hold pieces up while someone else removed another piece so that stuff would not fall down or out of truck. I hired these movers and it was the worst mistake I made. We have moved plenty of times in our lives but these movers didn't care about my furniture, brought a U-Haul truck and didn't remove the extra blankets or dollies so more could go on the truck. jThey decided they needed to make 2 trips. They milked it for all it was worth. A job that should have taken no more than 3 or 4 hours ended up taking 9 and a half. They scratched my doors, my new hardwood floors, drove on the grass at our old house and made a rut between the 2 driveways, had a I don't care attitude, keep telling us they were pissed. The white guy is the problem. The other guy and his wife and daughter were very pleasant. I contacted the owner with the issues above and he had the guys on the phone and of course the white guy denied everything. Mr. Hank should have come to my house so I could have shown him what they did. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM FOR ANYTHING. NOT EVEN TO MOVE A CHAIR. Very irresponsible and they even asked the Dish Network installer how to get a job with Dish because there job was very hard. It seems they have had no problem with how they treated my furniture. Maverick Movers advertises that they offer cleaning services in addition to moving services. After having them move some furniture for us, we hired them to clean my mother in laws house, so as to prepare to place on market for sale. Much too my disgust the house was not clean or cleaned!!! My husband and I had to clean the house ourselves even though we were told it was clean (NOT)!!!! I even took photos before I cleaned it & after & of all the nasty dirty rags after we cleaned it. I sent these photos to Hank Huddleston, owner of Maverick Movers, and demanded a refund. Although I have yet to receive the refund and will be surprised if I do. So much for his honest and "Christian" way of doing business!!!!!!!!!!! Now that I have had this experience with him, I started googling & found a few complaints to BBB also. Maverik Movers show up with a U Haul truck should have sent them away. Let the movers load furniture and boxes on truck and the movers complain every time they pick up a heavy object how heavy this is and than when they load it on the truck took about 10 minutes to come back to get another object to load. This move took more time than expected and did not get every thing on the tuck. Would not unload the truck unless I paid them double and I was told that I would receive a refund from the amount of time it actually took. After the truck was unloaded the movers had damaged a piece of furniture the movers would not refund my money or pay for the damaged furniture. I notified the owner said he would make it right I am still waiting. May the lord bless this company to do right for their customers. read more

BEWARE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! This was the worst experience that I have ever had with movers. I could have done better hiring day workers at $20 an hour. 1st off they were late to arrive, 2nd they brought the entire family, & I assume the grown woman was a wife or something but did not do any moving and talked like a baby. I caught one very overweight young man standing in the middle of my 8mth old leather sofa reaching over to get boxes instead of moving the sofa out 1st. And I was told that he respected me & that's why he took his shoes off 1st. Then 1 of the men carried in my reclining leather chair (light blue in color) by himself when it took the previous movers 2 men & got grease all over it from his hands. They couldn't put my son's bed together & they didn't set up any of my TV's. They carried boxes into my house upside down where contains were spilled into the boxes & they carried my nightstand in upside down causing everything to spill out. I called the owner to let him know what went on but he never returned my call. So obviously he knows the kind of work he is supplying and just taking advantage of ppl.
