The food was delicious and hit all the right notes. I love the creativity in bánh mì bún bò huế; I love how the cuts of meat layered up and we could dip in the bbh broth, just like a french dip sandwich but make it vietnamese! The shop was clean, airy, bright. Durian avocado smoothie was authentic and so good. Vietnamese coffee could be better without the sugar; we ordered black coffee thinking it would be just plain black. My bad, should have clarified upon ordering. I had a duck noodle soup on a previous visit and the portion was so big, it had so much meat and was so good. I wish it would be a permanent menu item instead of being a weekend special.

Both options are definitely my kind of food. When I walked into the establishment, my first impression was this place is so cute! Lots of cute Asian decor, and because it's holiday season, Christmas decor as well. Also, they had a piece of roasted pig hanging, so it definitely gave an authentic feel. I ordered a lot! No regrets on any dish - all the food and drinks were delicious. My favorite part is the heo quay, roasted pig belly. They made it PERFECTLY. The meat was so moist and tender while the skin was crispy. Very well flavored too. When I need pig for a party, I will definitely order from here. The banh khot were bigger than normal but still very good! Nice crunch. The bun Bo hue banh mi is very unique! I am a huge fan of bun Bo hue so I hope they add on the traditional noodle version of it because their broth is fantastic! I can't begin to tell you how hard it is to find a good bun Bo hue anywhere, let alone Utah. The service was great! They even brought out fresh whole chilis at my request. Great family owned place. I hope to cater from this place soon. Their catering menu offers many other dishes that's not on the regular menu.

This place serves burgers, BLTs and grilled cheeses with lots of customizable toppings to choose from. Burger sizes range from single, double, and triple patties. Piping hot fries. At the register, there's a straightforward glowing yellow menu to order from. You can't miss it. Our burger patties were made fresh, not pre-formed/frozen - I appreciated that they started cooking 'em on the flat top right as soon as we placed our order. They have fountain drinks and ice maker. We opted for water, which tasted a little funky. :-/ Our cheeseburgers were quite flavorful and juicy, and both came with a side of fries (single-patty pastrami $12, bacon $12). The food arrived to our table piping hot and delicious. Burgers wrapped in foil, served on 4" potato buns. Great texture, nice bite. The hot fries had a pleasant crispness to them, nice saltiness, and were accompanied by a small chilled fry sauce.. Tasty. Patty Shack is a greasy hole-in-the-wall, with dim lighting, dusty footprint tracked linoleum floors, and wood walls reminiscent of decades past. So come as you are! :) Outside there's a parking lot wrapped around the place, along with some outdoor seating. I read reviews where others have favorably compared Patty Shack to a certain customizable burger chain. Not exact...but kinda close, I guess... If I had to compare, Patty Shack is the greasy spoon "neighborhood dive" version of 5G, with fewer options.

Best way to describe it? Cafe Rio meets loaded baked potatoes meets comfort food done right. You build your potato base exactly how you want it (baked, fries, tots, sweet potato, etc) with options that feel indulgent and plenty that feel clean, healthy, and gluten-free--with no gluten-free upcharge, which deserves its own applause. Bonus: it's so good you forget it's gluten-free in the first place. The vibe is bright, upbeat, and casual, and the fully loaded soda bar is half the fun--mix-and-match sodas and syrups like a kid in a candy shop, but with adult self-control (or not). Do not skip the cornbread with homemade honey butter. I repeat: do. not. skip. it. That cornbread alone could start a fan club. You'll often see Todd, the owner, working the line or ringing people up--super friendly, genuinely kind, and exactly how you hope a local business owner shows up. You wouldn't even realize he's the owner unless you catch the name tag and have that "ohhh... Spud Todd-os" moment. Whether you're grabbing something quick to go or sitting down to eat, this place delivers: great food, fair prices, and the kind of local energy that keeps you coming back. Your stomach and your wallet will both be very happy. Would (and do) bring everyone here.

There are numbered guides on the glass but they were out of order so it was kind of confusing. However, we figured it out and had fun deciding what options to get. The Mister got a half Las Vegas and I got the Turkey on Mashed, but subbed out for a baked potato. The portions were big! We both took home leftovers and they were both really tasty. I think my turkey dish probably weighed five pounds. It was very tasty and I could see how delicious it would have been over mashed potatoes. My husband's Las Vegas potato was also very good. Super flavorful. I also appreciated all the syrup options set up beside the soda dispenser. That was an unexpected bonus. Staff were friendly, clean place. We'll definitely be back. I think chili on a baked potato would hit the spot on a cold day.
