Bean dip was warm and tasted great with the mushrooms and onions mixed in. The server was very considerate while my friend and I eyed the large menu discussing all the options our stomachs were interested in. I settled on the burrito de chile verde and my friend had the carne asada taco plate. Food came roughly 15 minutes later, piping hot and with generous portions. I'm well aware this is authentic "Americanized" Mexican food, so I'm reviewing from that perspective. In this context, the food was very well prepared and tasted fresh. The pork in my burrito was tender, heavily sauced and cheesy-melty, wrapped in a fresh tortilla, topped with a lightly flavored chili verde sauce. Beans tasted homemade, though they could use a little more salt or garlic. Rice was a little dry but still edible, especially mixed with the beans, sauce and burrito. Would have loved some more sour cream or guacamole, but overall the meal was very filling and satisfying.
