Because of the time we had to wait I went to the counter to get my food and it looks like they had been waiting on one burger but the rest of the food had been sitting. Normally we use the drive through and service is pretty great.

Stopped in for early lunch about 10:30 AM on a Saturday we stepped up to the counter to order and…read morethere was one girl on break sitting along the wall with her feet kicked up on the chairs, she had a Carls Jr work shirt on I assume she was on break she just kept watching us then finally yelled across the whole place "2 UP FRONT" which was nice because finally the grumpy old lady came wondering out to take our order and we paid, while we were waiting she yelled CHICKEN TENDERS DOUBLE CHESE BURGER! A short time later a blond lady walked out of the back room and the older lady said "are you cooking" she said ya I'm a coming I'm a coming I'm multitasking. Note: we were the only 2 in the place it was 10:30 am so no rush hour going on. The kitchen was filthy there was crap all over the prep tables and ground, when the busy multitasking employee made our burger and chicken not so tenders the old lady made us the best hot fresh fries that was the best part of the meal because we couldn't even eat the chicken or burger. Run don't walk away from this place it's the worst Carls Jr I have ever seen. Better yet opt for a hot dog from the truck stop I'm sure it's fresher

(I think this is why I didn't have to wait long for my sandwich.) This made it easier to chew because I didn't get any dried out or tough pieces of steak. The fries were great too. They were seasoned fries that you normally get at sit down restaurants. The service was excellent. The employees were friendly and didn't make you feel like you were an inconvenience. I have to admit it's been awhile since I've seen happy employees. We'll definitely be back.

I had two goals for this visit: 1) to try the impossible cheese steak (plant-based), and 2) to see if I notice the adding of more meat to all their cheese steaks as their new campaign claims. I ordered a medium impossible cheese steak with onions, mushrooms, and both hot and sweet peppers. My cheese steak came out hot and toasty and I'm happy to report there was noticeably more meat on my sandwich than in the past. Meat kept falling out as I bit into it! As for the impossible part and it being plant-based, it was actually pretty decent and flavorful. I normally don't eat plant-based meat due to the over use of sodium to flavor, but this was pretty close to an actual cheese steak. There were plenty of mushrooms, onions, and peppers and enough melty cheese to leave me walking away full and satisfied.

However, after trying all the Mexican food restaurants in this area and have found the real best - Toro Viejo. They have real enchiladas and great chimichangas - our favs! Parking is generous as are the sizes of the drinks. When you are there, please go across the Pleasant View strip mall and visit Treasure Towne. I have a western booth there with some Native American and hispanic art.

The food was responsible for the least enjoyable eating experience I've had in the last decade, for Mexican food, maybe ever. The scarcity of meat in both the enchiladas and the burrito makes me suspicious of some sort of pollo shortage, and it may be coinciding with a shortage beans and rice, as the two tablespoon portion of both left us wanting, just not wanting more of those items, as they were also inadequate. They must have cheap drinks to retain business, unfortunately we were not imbibing, and even if we were, I believe the experience would be sobering. This would all be well and good if it was a place you could get a quick sloppy bite to eat that came with a shockingly low price tag, but it's priced the same as rancho viejo or any other Mexican restaurant that offers charming wait staff, flavorful food, and solid portions. If their drinks are insanely cheap (and I didn't check) then all this makes sense and you can disregard the novel I've written.
